⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an awesome weekend celebrating my birthday at Box House Village in Pecos! This cozy spot truly made the occasion special. The accommodations were comfortable, safe, and perfectly located — just a short drive from Walmart and some fantastic local eateries. During the day, I explored Balmorhea State Park, which was a beautiful and tranquil experience. A highlight of the trip was meeting Paul, the owner of the community. He was incredibly friendly and generous with his insights about the community he's building for the Pecos area — it’s inspiring to see such dedication. For food, I highly recommend checking out Jr. and Poley's — great spots for tasty bites. Also, don’t miss La Notena in town for authentic flavors. Overall, it was a perfect getaway to enjoy the lake, the state park, and the welcoming community of Pecos. I can’t wait to return!

The space was clean and neat, felt clean and cozy. Check in and out was so simple. I know the area is under construction so I have no criticism about the location or the grounds other than that the dog relief areas need some tidying up and clear signage, which Im sure is something thats in the works. Ot was a pleasant stop over on our long drive.

We checked in on a Saturday afternoon and our unit had a plug that didn't work. The property manager came and looked at it right away. Once he determined he wasn't able to fix it he offered us a different unit and we were able to move right away. The WiFi is a spotty, but they are working on that. If you are reading this review a month from when I wrote it that will probably be resolved. My husband and I travel a lot for work and this may be the best place we have stayed. Full size fridge/freezer, 2 burner stove top, microwave with air fryer and conv oven, plenty of kitchen storage. Nice size shower and bathroom. In room washer and dryer (Awesome!) The unit we are in has 2 queen beds. Tey also have at least one unit that has a queen bed and bunk beds (twin over a queen) and a queen bed with a desk/workstation. Dogs are accepted and they have a fenced in area for the dogs. The TV's are either Fire TV or Google TV, so you need to log into your own services. (We carry our own personal Fire stick.) Lots of families here and...

I had a great time staying at the Box Houses. It was a one of a kind experience, since I have never stayed in a home like this before. However, I had a few problems with my stay that I would like to address: I was staying with family in the home and when I arrived to the house it was pouring rain, upon going inside I noticed a significant leak coming from underneath the fridge. The issue was addressed almost immediately after we brought it to their attention which I appreciated. The shower drain would pick and choose when and how fast it wanted to drain. When using the washing machine, it would shake the entire building and shifted in its spot. The internet/Wi-fi worked pretty well outside of the home, but as soon as you went inside it was a deadzone, which made it impossible to use any of my devices. Other than those few things, I did enjoy my stay. They offered complimentary soaps and had many amenities that made staying in Pecos a lot easier. Thank you...
