We stayed in one of Emigrant SPโ€™s FHU sites (30 amp), and while our site was long enough and pretty easy to back into, the sites vary significantly. All of the sites are fairly narrow and the pads tend to be pretty crumbly, cracked, and uneven. I would guess this is an older park, and Google Satellite and Street views proved quite helpful for selecting a site. The CG is pretty, full of mature pines, and offers a nice nature trail (however, a little rain easily floods the trail and where itโ€™s not flooded, itโ€™s muddy). As other reviewers point out, the highway is right there, and there was a fair amount of daytime noise. However, we didnโ€™t find it to be that bad and enjoyed a pretty quiet stay. While this park is easy to access, itโ€™s not terribly close to town, ie. gas or groceries, but Verizon worked fine without the booster. We would stay here again, despite being a bit pricey at $37 a night +$8...

Arrived at dusk on a summer Thursday night looking for a tent site, and there were a few sites still open. The campsite is very convenient, being right next to the road. It was quite loud with traffic all night. Campsites are packed together pretty tight. My kids spread out with their hammocks, and I was afraid they were a little too close to our neighbors. When I woke up in the morning and it was light out, I realized the site adjacent to us was empty, and it was the camper two sites over that they were so close to. The campsite was very clean and orderly, felt safe, in a beautiful area. We slept out in the open with no bug nets. There were two water pumps within steps of our site. The brochures and posters about the area were nice to read. Fantastic campsite except for how close the neighbors were and the...

Larger campsites than most Oregon state parks, but still sitting right up on each other. We find that we come to this campground often, probably due to our proximity and the decent sites.

The wood that they sell burns FAST, so at $7 per bundle (summer 2025) your fire will cost you as much if not more than the site rental.

Most park rangers are nice and polite, but this year there is one male ranger who is on a power trip. Gave us a 5 minute lecture on how check-in isn't until 4, despite me asking when chek-out was. He never answered my question, and another ranger saw us waiting an hour later and took action to get us into the site we were assigned. People were setting up all over, but we were told to wait bc he wanted us to, seemingly...

Camped here overnight for the second time on our way to Seattle. This place is lovely with trees & wildlife, on our first stay a squirrel even stole away with our butter! ๐Ÿ˜‚ The restroom facilities with electricity and running water were very welcome, particularly the hot showers! Yes, it is directly off the freeway, so the noise is a bit intrusive, even sleeping inside our vehicle. But all things being equal, this spot provided what we needed, at a decent price, and a good alternative to dealing with the various complications of staying at a hotel.

If your a horseman wanting an easy ride without many challenges, this campground offers unmarked but nice trails in multiple loops, you can't get lost, you are just going in circles. If you want mountian riding this is not a good place to explore. Lots of fencing around, private property surrounds the campground. We rode the whole system in an 3.5 miles. Good day ride for a short quick easy outting. Day use parking good, bathrooms clean. Bring water for your horses
