We broke down out side of pendleton and had to be towed to the shop right before new years so we were stuck waiting for a new transmission. We ended up going through an agent on line to book our room as cheap as we can knowing we have a huge shop bill. Well we decided to go to super 8 for the in door pool and hot tub.... We arrive to super 8 around 1130 am And Kristi was so helpful changed us from a single to a double bed that I guess I ordered. Which was nice since there were 3 of us. We see the pool is closed so that was a bummer for my daughter. We booked Thursday until Tuesday knowing the shop wasn't opened Saturday or Monday for new years. I figured by Tuesday we'd get a different hotel if needed atleast with a hot tub. Any way our stay was relaxing the house keeper Nate was extremely helpful on what we needed for our room everyday.. He was in the middle of deep cleaning so he was busy.. Our room wasn't the cleanest but it wasn't the Hilton or Trump tower.. It's a super 8 and we are truck drivers. Tuesday comes and our truck won't be ready til wednesday or Thursday So we decided that it was better to stay where we are any way long story short Kristi the front desk lady went over and beyond to make our stay better from printing out bus schedules to trying to get us checked back into our room when we thought we were going home but the roads were closed. Over all staff was amazing and friendly.. not much to do with pool closed but we enjoyed outer time talking with the staff and going for walks. I read negative reviews on all the motels in Pendleton and ya maybe its not the cleanest but the over all stay with the staff was great. We will stay there again if we ever need to. It's the compassion and friendliness that I look for. I did clean my own room only because we were always in the room and make our beds when we get up but the maids were so good about letting me use what I needed and brought me clean towels and anything I needed. I do recommend super 8 and please don't go off reviews. Our stay was amazing and helpful...
Read moreBeyond the WORST hotel I have ever experienced! Trust me...keep driving! Rotting CHICKEN WING next to bed! BLOODY Band-aid on the other side. Behind the bed board was revolting. It was so dirty you couldn't even see the floor. When I showed the girl from the front desk I recieved NO APOLOGY just rediculous excuses "They can't clean behind the bed because they can't reach it" and "oh that chicken wing was just left from last night" AS IF THAT MATTERS?!?! Before we went to settle in our quite unsettling room my kids wanted to swim. They hopped in the pool and right back out when they saw how dirty it was. Filled with bugs and its an INDOOR pool. After I realized how dirty the room was, I was told the only thing they could do was give me a different room. At this point I had traveled 10 + hours alone with 3 kids. We were exhausted, it was late, and we were in a very unfamiliar town with another 6 hours to drive the next day. The next room was NOT clean, it was just less disgusting than the first room. Thank god there wasnt a drug needle left behind or medication that my 3 yr old could have picked up BUT LETS FACE IT rotting meat and a dirty band-aid aren't that much better. We eventually stripped the beds and attempted to sleep on their cold hard mattresses. I got up as early as possible as we couldn't stand another second there. Upon leaving I asked for the manager. "He will be in later" I was told and that he would call me. This is the SAME LAME excuse the desk girls gave me in the following days. The manager is named Lee. But that is all they "conveniently" know. He has no number and lives out of town but visits the hotel sporatically. I called headquarters and was told management had until today to call me but I have heard nothing. Goes to show how much they care. I forwarded my complaint to upper management with headquarters. I probably wont get my money back but at least i can warn others not to go there. I will be contacting the BBB as well as the Oregon state Health department as the rooms weren't "dirty" they were a...
Read moreSadly this place could be a fairly decent place to stay if it wasn't for the horrible front desk service and the issues with our rooms. First off, the guy at the front desk was very rude when helping us at check- in. My mom broke her leg and is in a wheelchair so she was below the counter. He had a very heavy accent, which isn't always a problem, but he chose to mumble and speak too fast. She couldn't hear what he was saying and had to ask, more than a couple times, to repeat what he said. He would "sigh heavily" and then repeat it. I could understand him a little better, after a few repeats. At one point, he stated that the Queen room was handicap accessible, but the King room wasn't. I asked him to repeat himself, and he rolled his eyes. That took me back to when my daughter was a teenager. After getting through the check-in we went to our respective rooms. It was nice having a chair, desk, microwave and small fridge in the room. My bathroom had a light out and a loose tile on the entry area floor. Not really a problem. Apparently, my mom and step-dads room had worse issues. The toilet handle came off and my step-dad tried to fix it, but it wouldn't stay on. He called the front desk, same guy came to their room. He didn't fix it, only turned the handle upside down and called it fixed. Well it worked until they had to use it again and it came off. He came again, but did the exact same thing. So finally, my step-dad "Jerry rigged it" to stay for a little while. In the morning they realized the coffee pot did not have a lid. This makes for slow going on the coffee making. Also, they advertise "breakfast", don't waste your time. It is a joke. There was no one at the counter when we checked out. I rang the buzzer several times, per the instructions on the counter, but no one came. I wanted to mention the issues with their room. At this point it is out of my hands. We had been booked to stay there coming back from Spokane, but decided to cancel and book...
