I would like to rate this motel higher. I knew it was a budget motel, but the reservation was a bust. I reserved a room online and stipulated that it had a bath. I needed to change the dates and asked the person online if the room had a bath. He said they all have bath/ showers, but we were put in the ADA room that didn't have a bath. That's the main reason we came to a motel was to have a bath as we are RVers and wanted to refresh. Two strokes on the bath, then the n toilet seat is loose, and the back of the lid hits you in the back. Also there is only one towel. The receptionist was friendly. As the night wore on, life got even better. There was no remote control for the TV. I went to the office and they found one in the drawer. I had to research how to pair it to the TV. That worked finally but then my wife went in to take a shower and there was no hot water. After about 20 minutes it became warm. Oh, by the way, there was hair on the floor of the shower before she got in. #team6 What can I say further? We had requested a bath both on the online form and when we talked to customer service. No problem until we were assigned a room and had brought all of our belongings in to find that we were in an ADA room with a roll in shower. It was very slick with no ADA handrails and there was hair on the floor of the shower. There was only one towel and the toilet seat was loose. No drinking glass in the room. I went to watch TV but there wasn't a remote control. I went to the office and the night clerk found one in a drawer, put some batteries in it and handed it to me. I tried to turn on the TV but the remote wasn't paired with the TV. I downloaded the programming manual and programmed your remote. (You're welcome). There were cigarette burns in my pillow. I checked the sheets with my UV and found some "interesting" stains. Luckily we we have sleeping sacks which we brought in from our trailer. It really appeared that the room hadn't been cleaned. I do thank you for allowing us to park our trailer. We were going to spend two nights but with the above and the loud talking outside of window in the middle of the night, we cut our losses and left. Ā Ā Ā Read moreCheap place to stay a night close to Tempe, if you're not too particular ... when I went to check in, I was greeted after a few seconds, with a be right with you kind of thing, but then stood there for about 4 mins while 2 employees talked about other employees and other guests, and counted the drawer. It just felt a little uncomfortable. My first room, (after they had to come up to let me in because my card didn't work) had stains all over comforter, super sticky floor, and smelled so bad of smoke and stank of pot, I couldn't breathe. They did let me check in about 30 min early, also greatly appreciated because I just had a long drive, so I was hoping it was just rushed. I asked to be moved to "another non smoking" room, which they really apologized for and had another one ready for me right away and I appreciated that... but that room was just so full of air spray I had to leave the door open to air it out. When it cleared, it still smelled like smoke. Rooms are small, but when only sleeping there thats no problem. Had a table and desk and 2 chairs in the single queen room. TV with cable. The ac unit worked and the bathroom was clean. There is also a beer bottle opener on the vanities, if needed lol. My bag, my clothes, my pillow, my hair all stink of smoke now. The floor was still sticky and made my bare feet pretty dirty. The bed was really hard and all the bedding smelled like smoke as well, instead of soap or a bleach clean smell. The pool looked nice and clean, but I did not go in. I did not hear a lot of people commotion, but it is close to the airport and freeway, so a lot of traffic noises, and airplanes... if you're not used to that.
I was not expecting a lot by staying at this location, and for the price most may not care, but I would not stay...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery friendly staff. Definitely a bare bones motel. Pretty much the cheapest place you can stay in Phoenix. Donāt expect shampoo, conditioner or lotion. There isnāt a coffee maker, hair dryer, carpet, or mini fridge. Itās clean enough but I choose to bring my own linens, pillows and towels. I also bring my own coffee maker, and shower shoes are a must! My room smelled strongly of cigarettes and possibly piss? I had to buy an air freshener to make it tolerable for the night. No free wi-fi- this one charged $2.99 a day. Nice TV with nice cable package. It reminds me of hostels I stayed in in France. Except those were usually $20 a night and motel 6 is about $75 a night (February)....and it was France. If this hotel was $30 (after taxes) then the price would match the conditions. I saw a really nice, new Lexus in the parking lot and I was like, āDude, sleep in your Lexus, youāll be safer and probably have WiFi!ā I really wish I knew what my $75 was being used for. I doubt itās for wages or upgrades. The tub in my bathroom had stains and cigarette burns. This is the super sketchy part of Phoenix, lots of homeless, no attractions nearby. Itās pretty loud with the freeway on one side and the airport on the other. Iām not sure why tourists come here. I live in Prescott and needed a room for the night before a test I was taking. I didnāt sleep well due to the smell and since this part of town really is very scary. If youāre a tourist and canāt afford at least $140 a night for a decent hotel, I wouldnāt bother...unless you are super curious about American drug addiction. Thatās pretty much the only attraction...
