Smoky Getaways — Hotel in Pigeon Forge

I do not recommend this company based on a mostly negative experience. The cabin we rented (Awesome View) was dirty and in need of maintenance when we arrived. The view is indeed awesome, but the price is way too much given the condition of the cabin. The water supply stinks with the smell of sulphur. Two of our three days, the water ran out because there wasn't adequate supply for the five of us to shower. We didn't have enough water to wash our dishes when we checked out. I had to use bottled water. The house has a well. The downstairs bathroom door would NOT shut and lock, the master bed was collapsing and the television volume control was broken in the master bedroom. There was NO remote control. The picnic table, rocking chairs and deck were filthy. Two mops were drying on the table when we arrived and a burned plastic bucket was in the driveway. Trash was strewn everywhere. They knew we were arriving. Why hadn't someone taken the time to inspect the house beforehand? Additionally, the upstairs bathroom towel rack and toilet paper dispenser were broken. The baseboards and wainscotting throughout the house were dirty as well as the vinyl flooring. The carpet felt dirty underfoot. I asked for a refund of my cleaning fee but have yet to receive any response. I have photographs to document all this. I'm sure they have other first class properties, but why have they ignored our complaints? No offer of compensation was made only concern that the next guests not have a similar experience. Guys, you will not believe this one. Please visit the website. We stayed Labor Day with Smoky Getaways in Mountain Crest, and this cabin FAR exceded our visions of Smoky Mountain Living. 3 Beautiful bedrooms, the furnish was way above fabulous !!! The view was breath taking. We plan on traveling back in December. The office staff went above and beyond their call of duty. When we arrived in the cabin it wasnt 5 min. and we got a call from the girl in the office wanting to make sure that everything was ok. This resort you MUST see, one of the BEST in the area. When you come off Wears Valley road you enter thru a log bridge which at night is lite and gorgeous.. You can fish in the river on the property but dont forget the license... And they are only 4.9 miles from Pigeon Forge.... Give they a call you will not...

I forget the name of the specific cabin we rented but it was great! Well taken care of, had a Big Buck Hunter arcade game and old game cabinet (end table style) that had a bunch of the classics (Donkey Kong, Pac-Mac, Dig Dug, etc) as well as a hot tub. Found out late in the week that we were taking the long way back to Pigeon Forge. There is a much faster route (turning right out of the driveway gets you to civilization much faster than the windy roads...
