I recently stayed at your property and unfortunately experienced what I can only describe as the worst lodging experience I’ve ever had. I feel it’s important to share the details, both for your awareness and in the hopes of a meaningful response.
I arrived late in the evening, only to find that the lobby was closed off behind what appeared to be bulletproof plexiglass. There was no staff visible, and the front desk phone went unanswered despite multiple calls. Eventually, I noticed a small sign instructing me to ring a different bell, which finally prompted a response.
When someone eventually appeared, there was no greeting—just silence. I had to initiate everything, stating that I had a reservation. The staff member walked away wordlessly, returned some minutes later to ask for my ID, then disappeared again. Eventually, he slid a document under the plexiglass for me to sign, which included a $150 fine for smoking in the room. I appreciated the clarity of that policy—until I actually entered the room.
Immediately upon entering, the overwhelming stench of smoke hit me and my guest. The odor was so intense it was nearly unbearable. The room clearly had not been cleaned to any acceptable standard. There was an ashtray on the table, burn marks on the bedding, and the entire space reeked of years of indoor smoking. So much for the no-smoking policy.
But that was just the beginning. There was a massive hole in the carpet. The toilet didn’t flush. Most electrical outlets didn’t work—only the ones far from the bed, which made charging devices inconvenient. The countertop area was dirty, and overall, the room was in unacceptable condition.
It was late, we were exhausted, and alternatives were limited—so we stayed. I booked this hotel because it advertised breakfast, but in the morning we didn’t even bother to check. We just wanted to leave.
This experience left me questioning how this property is even allowed to operate under your brand. It does not represent quality, safety, or basic hospitality. I hope you take this feedback seriously and assess whether this hotel meets your company's standards.
Thank you for at least providing a roof over our heads—but next time, I truly might prefer...
Read moreMy husband and I were in the middle of moving to the area and the renovations on our new house took a few days longer than expected. To save money we choose the days inn in pine bluff because from the pictures online and just driving by the other hotels in the area of cheaper hotels it appeared to be the best. We checked in and were staying 3 nights. The man who checked us in was very friendly and told us that we had to put down a $50 deposit that we'd get back when we checked out which we thought was reasonable. Our first room air conditioner didn't work and it being the end of June was too hot. They moved us rooms with no issues. Both the non smoking rooms we had smelled like smoke and had ashtrays in them. That didn't bother us but if you have an allergy or don't like the smell of nasty smoke then take that into consideration. The rooms were reasonably clean the first room we saw wasn't as clean or had as good of mattress as the second one. It was mediocre but what we expected for the cost. The pool looked clean but we never swam in it. The free breakfast was a joke. A few old muffins and some bread you can toast or cereal with milk. They had the waffle iron but never any batter. They had apple juice to drink and coffee. Overall our stay was good as could be expected until we went to check out and the owner said that our deposit hadn't been recorded so we wouldn't get it. This made us mad because we needed that money and kept everything in perfect condition while we stayed. We came back up there to the night clerk that checked us in and asked him what the deal why didn't you record our deposit. He pulled out a book and showed where he in deed had accurately recorded our name and the amount of the deposit. We were told that the manager is known to do this type of thing to people. My husband took a picture and he came back the next day and showed the owner who said that the employee had stolen our deposit and was so incredibly rude. Worst experience ever. Wouldn't recommend anyone ever stay at this...
Read moreOn Friday, October, 13, around 1 a.m. I tried to pay for an overnight stay at the Days Inn, Pine Bluff, AR. The attendant told me my card was declined when I tried to use my bank card as payment. I had just made a deposit into my account for travel purposes and so I knew I should have had money in the account. I told the attendant he took my only money. I was out of state, alone in the middle of the night with now nowhere to go and not enough funds for another decent hotel. I called family who offered to pay for the room over the phone, but Days Inn would not comply with my request. They offered me no options, even after I told them they made a mistake and even showed them my bank account, displaying the Days Inn draft. Not knowing what had gone wrong, I had more money deposited into my account and proceeded to another hotel and checked in without incident. The next morning, when I contacted my bank, I was given the following information: Not only did the $75 charge go through, but the attendant tried to run the card a second time for $75 and an additional $150 as well. The bank filed a dispute, and to their credit, refunded the funds to my account. A call to the corporate offices assured me the matter would be investigated and I would receive an update on the investigation in one week. Eleven days later, I called to follow up since I had heard nothing. I was told the matter was being handled internally and it would not be discussed with me. One would think that I should be informed in some way, or be compensated even in a small way. Instead, I am left thinking I was a victim of a scam or a dishonest employee. I have doubts that this was an accident, and I was not made aware of a security deposit. Corporate offered no information whatsoever. I was not assured of any corrective measures. Thank goodness my bank took care of me. Days Inn certainly did not. I will never stay at a...
