There are not a great number of B & Bs on the Loess Hills parkway. If I hadn't heard about this place being painted, we would not have stopped. There was no sign. The interior remodel was done and is somewhat unusual with the large common space. We had the Victorian Room on the first floor since it is the only one with a private bath. The three rooms upstairs share a bath. The furniture and closet in the room were stuffed with someone's clothes and stuff. So it was kind of like staying in your aunt's extra room. The TV remote was covered with sticky dirt, probably from the grandkids who likely stay there. Otherwise it was okay unless you do not like smoke. We were told it was non smoking but that was apparently recent. Both hosts smoke and it has penetrated everything despite the remodel. If that bothers you...||Perhaps the upstairs rooms have empty furniture and less smoke. We hear hunters love this place.||The hosts were nice and accommodating. There is no real place to hang out outside. Be sure to ask about the free WiFi and movie channels because we did not learn about that until later.||The town of Pisgah is not exactly scenic but there are nice places to hike nearby, The best one is from the overlook near the state park. We had a room upstairs with a private bath, with a jacuzzi tub. We were there visiting family and on our last day they invited our family to join us for a fabulous breakfast.
