Loess Hills Country Corner — Local services in Pisgah

We stop by the little store on our way to or from our hiking trips to Loess Hills somewhat regularly, and it’s a welcome change from the big busy chain stores in Omaha. I’m not sure if it’s family-owned, but it definitely has that vibe. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. We usually get some snacks and drinks, and despite someone else here mentioning that the store is overpriced, I have never once had that experience. Probably depends on what you’re buying, though. The hours on google say the store is open every day, closing at 6 most days except Sunday when it closes at 2. They actually close at 7 (except Sunday) which is what the sign on...

Great prices for authentic diner type food. Burgers were flavorful and freshly made. Buns toasted to perfection. Fried foods tasted good, not like old grease. Served on Corelle plates which emphasized the homey feel of this quaint rustic spacious diner. Bring a crowd, there’s plenty of room.
