Melody Motel — Hotel in Plains Township

I thought the price was too good to be true and I was right! When I pulled up to the run down building with stained and broken furniture sitting outside some of the doors and a huge dumpster in the back of the front office I thought maybe they were remodelling. I walked into the front office and the woman asked me if I was travelling alone, I replied yes and she asked me if I was going to have male visitors in my room throughout the night!!! She then warned me to make sure I lock the door and do not open the unbarred windows!!! I walked into my room and the smell of smoke and old mildew filled the air I walked through the room into the bathroom, mold in the shower and old fixtures, the room was junky. I put my baggage down and looked to the clock, there was dried white stuff squirted on the nightstand and clock!!! I had it I picked up my things and went to the front office told them I was not staying there. They pointed out a sign that read no refunds! I was out sixty-five bucks! I left there and drove up the hill to the Best Western and took a nice hot bath and fell asleep without worry. I would not wish my worst enemy to stay at...

I stayed at the melody for about 12 hours. As soon as we parked I could smell the cat pee. We walked in and it was..... interesting. I used the toilet to urinate, and when I flushed poo water started to overflow the toilet. We asked for a refund immediately. The gave us another room. Well, the sink wasn't tied into any plumbing. It went straight to the ground and that also immediately started to back up. Again we went to ask for a refund and they said they would. Went as far as printing a refund ticket. But they stole not only my deposit. They also stole 300 dollars for what was supposed to be a 6 night stay. 12 hours cost me $410. Charges will be filed and I'd advise everyone to...
