What a pleasant surprise. I live in hotels for my job, and once in a while I get lucky. Today was a very stressful day driving and working at sites on Long Island. Getting to the Holiday Inn here in Wilkes-Barre was a relief, and the in-house bistro, Wildflowers was highly recommended at the front desk. I promptly ordered the filet with broccoli and garlic mashed. It was served perfectly medium rare, and and cuts like butter. I love the filet as evey bite is lean and clean. The sauce and spices the chef uses are excellent. The sides were also steamed and mashed with attention to their detail. The Susquehanna lager complements the meal. I was asked "What else can I get for you Sir?" Well, actually Sir would love to hear what is available for dessert. I stopped her at the lemon raspberry cheesecake. Yes. That's it. However, I'll take it to go please. I have an excellent rum upstairs that will pair well with it. Yes, Wildflowers bistro is a lovely surprise for the weekend. Excellent service, superb filet, and quiet atmosphere. You should come dine here even if you're not staying upstairs. This place is... Maloy Approved

I visited Wildflowers restaurant for a Thanksgiving buffet and it was exceptional. The upscale, but not stuffy atmosphere, was just what I wanted. Soup, salad, fresh fruit, chilled shrimp to start. Then I visited the carving station with roast pork loin, leg of lamb and of course roast turkey. I sampled several traditional side dishes, as well. I was not disappointed. There was a very tempting dessert display (I did not indulge) The staff were super friendly and attentive. I will be returning to sample the restaurant's daily menu.

We were on the road coming back from Philadelphia. We dropped in for an early dinner. We were surprised at the slow service we were the only guests.the sandwich was very good that was the only item I would recommend if your in a jam . We got the wrong salad 🥗 then we got the correct salad which was disappointing and disgusting 🤢 old and horrible looking. We had cheese fries cheese tasted old and had a weird flavor . Overpriced and definitely not worth your money or time .

We went for the Easter Buffet and it was delicious 😋 We went around 3:00 pm so things were winding down. We sat in the back room, and the service was not good. We were given one glass of water to drink and my husband ordered a sprite and it never arrived until I asked the waiter for it. Our dishes piled up on the table and were not taken away. I was not happy with the service at all! Then they called my husband and told him that the credit card was not charged, so my husband sent her a screenshot showing that it was charged 🙄 The atmosphere was comfortable but could have been better if the service was accompanied with it. We have been here several times over the years and had good experiences. The food was really very good and I cannot say anything negative about it. We enjoyed our meal but will find it hard to go back because of the lack of service and difficulties we had...

Not impressed...won't return . We came here with a local flavor discount for my birthday which was on a Sunday . We waited awhile to be seated even though the restaurant was empty. The server didn't ask if we had a preference but told us he seated us up front so he didn't have to walk so far. We choose our drinks and I was served the wrong one. The food was luke warm when it arrived. I had the crab cakes...which were mostly crab but bland and the whipped sweet potato side was runny not fluffy. My husband had the east mountain chicken on angel hair pasta. He said it was ok but not memorable. Server didn't ask us if we wanted dessert so we didn't as he brought the check. Setting was not comfortable....service was fair at best and the...
