Read moreDo not stay here. Do not trust the pictures. The pictures lie. This place is a dump. I never leave bad reviews, but I feel obligated to warn my fellow travelers. I’ve traveled all over the world, and stayed at many places. This place is the worst. The receptionist promised me a refund (two rooms reserved) as the rooms were simply uninhabitable (carpets stained with God-knows-what, broken furniture, sheets weren’t changed…you’d be sure to catch weird diseases if you took your shoes off). It was impossible to get a refund, and we stayed at another hotel. If you can’t find a room anywhere else within 100 miles, my very strong advice is to either stay in your car, or, if you don’t have a car, find one of those portable potties and stay there. It will be cleaner. Edit: We stayed during the spring. I’ll find the confirmation number if you can assist me in getting a refund. Look, if you are new owners, my advice is to post pictures of the renovation process. Get rid of the junk cars out back. Rip out those old dirty carpets and put down flooring you can actually clean. Your location is good, but I felt like I was in a real-life Deliverance movie. I think you have to decide what kind of hotel you want. Do you want a clean, modern hotel charging the going rate, or a rundown shabby dirty place jacking up the prices during the fall? I really hope you are new owners and are committed to making wholesale changes. I did learn a good lesson from The Red Carpet, though. I never book a hotel without cancellation insurance. Not only did I not receive my refund, I had to trapes down the street to another hotel. I’ve stayed all over the world (in some lousy places). Honestly, when I booked in the fall, this was the dirtiest, sketchiest place I’ve ever stayed.
So-change the narrative if you want to be successful. New owners? Put your name and pictures on the website and let people know who you are, and that you are committed to turning your hotel into something you can be proud of. If you really are new owners, I wish you the best. An ambitious owner could turn this place around. Edit: I found the date: 5/26/2023 two rooms: one for 117.92 and the other for 118.96. That’s nearly 250 dollars down the tubes. I’ll add a photo of the transaction.
Edit 7/21/2024 I never got a penny returned. I’m STILL pissed off about this place. Honestly, find a tiny shack out in the woods uninhabited for 100 years. Throw down an old dirty carpet, toss in some junky furniture and an old mattress with dirty sheets, and make sure plenty of weird little bugs are crawling all over the place. Oh, and throw in a couple of junk cars out back and make certain to bring a local sketchy vagrant to sit outside your door. Make sure he’s a smoker.
Stay there for a couple of nights, and you too can enjoy “The Red Carpet Inn Experience” and save yourself 250 bucks.
The nerve of the people...
