This was our first time coming to Salt Springs Resort. All in all, our stay was pleasant. I'll give you a list of a few pros and cons...

Pros: The lake is beautiful, water clarity is stunning for a Florida lake, the kids had a blast swimming in the lake and tubing behind the boat

Cons: The resort is in DIRE need of upgrades and maintenance. The pool chairs are falling apart, the pool deck looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years, the bathrooms by the pool deck are absolutely disgusting, the lake cabins are VERY outdated and NOT clean, trash was left laying out around the facility, the grass was knee high in areas, the tennis court area is in poor condition

Whomever is in charge of facility maintenance needs to step up to the plate and get this place back in shape. This resort has TONS of potential, but unfortunately is not being kept up with. I would come back, but only if they did some major Renovation work on the facilities and the grounds. So sad to see a place with such potential to be in...

For the price it was alright. The grounds are definitely well maintained but one of the reasons we booked it was because of the adult only pool and spa but because the community pool filter broke during our stay the adult pool became the community pool which I understand for the families. It would have been fine if I hadn't seen a resident hit in the face with a volleyball and were then cursed out by the parents for their reaction and that children aren't disciplined by parents anymore. We were really looking forward to a quite and orderley vacation to enjoy a natural enviroment. Instead we had to see disorderly and disrespectful children along with their drunk parents. Also dealing with people not following the community rules about music as well. I really thought that because everything we received from the resort stressed following the community rules they either would be respected or enforced but that was not the case. I now see why so many of the lots are for sale in...

You want to know what’s crazy? I came to visit this place with my 9 year son for the first time to spend some father son time together and go fishing on 6/28/25 and by 7/02/25 we are officially under contract to purchase a lot for ourselves!

This place is absolutely gorgeous. Yes, there are some things that need updated. The pool is one of them for sure and so is the clubhouse and there’s other little small things as well. But at the same time, all of these things are fully functional and good for what it is and that’s also what gives the place a little character, history and kind of a country feel which is exactly what I was looking for.

If you enjoy being out in the country on the lake, this place is for you. We’re gonna have fires and s’mores and get jet skis or a boat and just relax and live life because that’s what this...

This was my first time going to the springs and it was amazing. As someone who is terrified of sea life, it was a very friendly safe location. There were workers watching from up top, the people were friendly, the fish were beautiful. We saw sting rays, blue crabs, bottom dwellers, and I heard some people saw catfish when they swam into the springs! They are a little nit picky with the rules (no paddles, no kiyaks etc) but it is a very small spring so this is understandable. It was a little expensive and the shop was closed when we went, so make sure to pack a lot of snacks and water in case. The picnic area was friendly as well, we left out stuff there and nobody messed with it besides the volunteer that threw our stuff around and opened our bags, but we packed light so it wasn’t a deal breaker.

Excellent campground on Little Lake Kerr in the Ocala National Forest in Salt Springs, FL. I've been going there for the last 30 years but It's been around 5 years since I've been and I was so pleased to see how beautiful the park looked. Best I've ever seen it plus the employees were very friendly and helpful. What a welcomed change. They also built a memorial garden that was amazing with some very unique and beautiful plants. The only thing that needed work was the game room and the children's pool but I'm sure they will get to soon enough.

Spots are tight and extremely limited. It is really a retirement community. The pools are always dirty & broken. The concrete area all around the pool is broken. Some spot have grass, some pile of dirt. The walk to the lake area is a mess. They rarely cleaned up to broken limbs or mowed. The hot tub is broken & shut down. Everything about this place is old, broken and neglected. Sad because it once was fun and clean.
