I don't know where to begin about how disappointing this hotel was. To begin with, the pictures online must be at least a decade old as it looks NOTHING now ;likeit does in the pictures. For $82/nite I didn't expect a luxury restort, but at least something close to the pictures posted. The lobby appears decent in the pics - it had 2 old stained filthy broken down wing back chairs that my wife and I would not sit in. Just beyond the lobby is the eating area which was shabby with a large soda vending machine against the wall not working and empty. ..Breakfast was NOTHING like the pics. The only hot food was a crock pot of gravy (made out of who knows what) to serve over some prefab biscuits. The computer crashed and there were clients returning from their assigned rooms because there were other people in the rooms when they entered. King rooms were supposed to include sofa-beds and didn't. Our room was what we reserved - 2 doubles - but so dark and dingy. I was afraid to sit on the beds and checked immediately for bedbugs. Not finding any traces, I slept in my bed and my wife didn't complain, but her bed sloped severely from one corner to the next and she didn't sleep well at all. The flap in the toilet tank leaked so that the toilet emptied and refilled constantly throughout the night. We got no housekeeping the next morning, but that doesn't surprise me. The shower was hot, but was a weak ring of water rather than a full shower spray. Finally, our deadbolt would not reach the door frame so we could only secure our door with the little flip over security look. The door didn't seal well and there was light showing all around the door. You could actually see the hallway in one part. On a positive note, the heat and air was OK and the TV worked. The hotel is on a small hill above another business. The parking lot had no barriers nor signage warning you that you could literally drive off a cliff into the business below, which I nearly did. I have enjoyed other Choice Hotel properties in the past, but DO NOT...
Read moreIn 3 years this hotel has really gone down in quality. My plan was to be there for a week while I visited my family in town. I own my own business so internet is vital and was told that the wifi was "spotty" and where our room was located was not as good as rooms closer to the lobby. So we asked to move. The room we ended up in was clean but the floor was wet, not just the bathroom floor but the entire room. The humidity in the room was so high (AC was on full blast so it was cool) that our pillows were damp. The locks were broken on all the exterior doors so that you could not use your room key. Everyone just put a rock and propped the doors open so anyone could get in any door at any time. The lack of pool or fitness center as my husband just started a new routine and not having any exercise facilities was a setback. My husband took photos of the current state of things which apparenly have been unavailable for a year or more. The Ice machine was broken most of the days we were there. Our toilet appeared to run intermittantly whether it had been used or not. Only once that I went to the front desk did I find someone there and not out in front of the entrance smoking with a group of people. Most disappointing of all was the breakfast. 3 years ago there were great little egg "discs," sausages, fruit, juices, waffles and individual bottles of milk, and biscuits and gravy. We got up early each morning to have breakfast. This time, the only thing that remained was the waffles and biscuits & gravy (not every day). Unfortunately there aren't many hotels in the area all we can do is hope that you work on improving...
Read moreWOW! I must admit that I am very critical when I stay at a hotel. I expect as close to perfection that is humanly possible. I like clean rooms, comfortable beds, plenty of pillows and towels, and the staff's attitude is also equally important to me. I must say that this Comfort Inn was GREAT! I was treated with respect and made to feel extremely welcome from the moment I checked in. Our room was absolutely PERFECT! Our bed was very comfortable, the pillows and comforter were dreamy! The T.V. was big and on a high entertainment stand so that we could see it well. Our room had a jacuzzi a few feet from the bed, (only problem was the drain was broken, so we had to stuff it with a wash rag) normally I would have been disappointed enough to say something to the staff, but it wasn't that big of a deal considering how great everything else was. Breakfast...Definitely the best I have had in a Comfort Inn, the food was beautifully presented, at temperature, and the woman tending to the breakfast area was very helpful, and polite. She definitely made it a great experience. The housekeepers in the morning were very nice, and quiet. They gave my husband and I extra towels for the pool ( they offer pool towels. but they are small, so I recommend asking for extra bath towels). One issue I would like to address, is the temperature of the Indoor Pool water. I could see it being a "Good Thing" to some, but for us, it was a little uncomfortable. It was like swimming in A huge Hot Tub. I was expecting it to be warm, but it was HOT! Nice pool though, just way too warm...
