First off, its worth noting that we spent the night here over Memorial Day weekend. We needed a place to spend the night, and this place had a pack n play (crib) for our toddler.
This place is definitely kid friendly. There is a giant pool/waterpark thing, which I didn't see, but there were a LOT of children in bathing suits running around. Honestly, my kid is kind of a brat when it comes to bedtime in hotels, but I felt a lot better about this one.
There is also a restaurant attached, which isn't open on Sunday, so I can't comment on that, other than the convienence of it being there Monday - Saturday.
We ended up in a king suite, which was the same price as a king studio (the suite has a door between the bedroom & other room and the suite is a bit larger). We were on the 3rd floor. The elevator makes a wierd noise when it reaches the 2nd & 3rd floors, but its fine.
Bathroom fixtures seemed new, and the doors (bathroom & bedroom) do not make a noise when opened/closed which is AMAZING. The AC is a bit loud, but we usually sleep with a noise machine so I would recommend turning the fan on at night.
Speaking of which, located about a half mile away are the railroad tracks. Our room was located facing them, which is another reason we left the fan on all night (we were also right next to the elevator).
Mini fridge had a mini freezer, which was nice. Breakfast was decent. 3 different types of juice, 4 different types of cereal. Eggs, bacon, biscuits, muffins, waffle maker, etc. For less than $200, it was pretty good. Definitely would have been better if we had brought swimming suits, but that isn't their fault. The fitness center was closed for renovations, which didn't break my heart.
Overall, I would definitely come back when my kid is older and able to...

Got to our room, after driving 8 hours just wanted to lay down, once I laid down I saw something out of the corner of my eye, a roach was crawling on the sheet next to my head. The next day I found another one by the bathroom door. We left about 930 am got back to our room about 3 pm. Room had not been cleaned. We left for a wedding at 345, thinking they would clean while we were gone. No, got back at 10 pm and the room had not been cleaned. Went down and got towels to shower. Next day at check out advised the front desk girl Tara of the issues and that our rate was higher than quoted. She wrote everything down and said she couldn't change the rate but she would get the owner. He came down from his room where he lives in not dressed professionally. He argued with me about the rate, that it was put in incorrectly and they changed it. I told him they cabt change a rate I had confirmation for he said he could and would not change it back. I told him of all the issues, even took him to the room to show him the roach we captured. He still said he wouldn't change the rate. Went back down and he then lied when other guests came in when I mentioned the roach, he said he didn't see anything. He was very rude, not accommodating, didn't care that a customer was upset and told him to never stay there again. I told him not to worry.I have a photo of the roach but can't post it on this review. I would not recommend this property...
Read moreIt was fine. The room was huge with tons of places to put your stuff, so that was nice. A single towel hook on back of door with zero towel bars was less nice.
Tv was big enough and had HBO. Bedding seemed cheap. Shower got super hot and had enough water pressure. Virtually no sound proofing between door and hallway unfortunately.
Had a strangely well stocked vending machine. Coffee, tea, and cookies in the lobby. The continental breakfast was standard fare, on the lower end of variety and quality when it comes to these types of breakfasts. Not many options of substance for vegetarians. I want to shout out the particularly attentive older woman tending to it and making sure everything was well stocked and tidy at all times. Waffles are always a highlight of course.
The pool is something else! Fun fun fun. As two adults without children we managed to go down the giant slide a billion times, hang out in the hot tub, and play water basketball.
Be warned that the slide is only open when lifeguard is present. It was not an issue during my stay. Call ahead to find out pool hours and slide hours. Wristbands are available to the public, with more limited hours, if you are not a hotel guest.
I was in town to visit family in nearby Easton and to hike at Wyalusing and Effigy Mounds. This was a good middle location for those activities. It was also conveniently close to a Casey’s gas station. I would consider the location on the outskirts of town. I would come back if I was in Prairie du...
