Jeffersonian Motor Inn — Hotel in Prentiss

Booked a room for the week using booking.com upon arrival, I was told they are not affiliated with booking.com and they would not accept my paid reservation. I had to pay on site. Basically I paid twice for a room i shouldn't have even paid for once. Both the hotel and booking.com have made it nearly impossible to get a refund from one or the other. They have a SEVERE bug infestation. TV didn't work, fridge stopped cooling, ac froze up twice. One of the owners attempted to thaw out the unit. Around 2 am the unit smelled like it was burning. Ended up unplugging it so it didn't actually catch on fire. No smoke detectors and half of the lights didn't work. Enjoy these lovely photos. Room does not look like what is is pictures. Tv is old and static, wifi did not work, no towels in room, tv batteries did not work. This place is a long term stay for hispanics working in area, they were sitting outside the door of their room, blocking hallway. Went to ask for refund due to not being satisfied and was told that he would call the wifi company to get better signal. I called the Western Motel 1 block away and was given a great rate for flat screen tv, great wifi, and cleaner rooms. Wife, Husband and 12 year old reviewed the Jeffersonian as a -1. DO NOT GO. The room was full of roaches. I personally know that ANY motel/hotel can rid their rooms of roaches by buying ONE $6.50 can of an excellent roach exterminator that I would highly recommend. My family used to book at least ten or twelve rooms for our family reunion, but, due to the declining condition of the facility, they have chosen to book rooms in Brookhaven and Collins. TOTALLY unnecessary because of failure to expend less than seven dollars per room to get rid of the roaches. I had to do it myself and pay full price for the room. Next year, I will book a room...
