Riata Inn Presidio — Hotel in Presidio

Great location, price, service with a very acceptable room. Nothing fancy, but if you're there to explore the upper Rio Bravo valley or doing astronomy from a Bortle 1 location, this is a great base of operations. Sits up above Presidio, proper, and has great view at night of Ojinaga, MX. We were there in December so I don't know if the taco truck out front is ever open, but having a taco truck outside next to a full service fuel stop means you don't have to go into Presidio unless you want to, at odd hours. The value of the room was good. It is very well kept for a smaller place. The staff was nice. It's been a while but still getting around to my reviews. It was also clean. The pool was clean too. It's not going to be a big box "brand hotel" and it is not a resort. It is a nice simple peaceful place to sleep and relax while traveling. I think some people get unrealistic expectations sometimes. Terrible service. Booked a room hours before arrival and when i got there no one opened the door to give me my room keys. They had a letter at the door saying to ring door bell that is around the corner. Did that and stood there knocking for over 30min just wasting mine and my family’s time. But they are quick to charge your card!! I better get my money back! They Do Not awnser the front desk phone whats so ever! If you can’t stay awake for customers the don’t own a Hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
