I had a wonderful, comfortable and relaxing stay at Book Lovers Inn recently. I grew up in Princess Anne and never imagined I'd be back, staying at a B&B, but I loved it! My parents live 3 minutes away from the property. This made coordinating with them very easy. Heidi is so delightful and really cares about making you feel at home. I enjoyed cozying up in my room when I was not with my family or before departing for the airport, reminiscing about memories made on the elementary school playground just around the corner or friends who grew up on the next street. The 1800s property is so very special. I felt like I was cozied-up in my grandmother's home. Two nights at Book Lovers Inn rejuvenated my soul and appreciation for the town in which I grew up. Coming to visit my parents from South Carolina doesn't seem so stressful any longer. I know Heidi will ensure a warm welcome and stay.

I had an amazing time at the Book Lovers Inn. I decided to stay here instead of a regular hotel and I am happy I made that decision. Heidi was warm, welcoming and truly is a great host. Every night she made sure to put out English biscuits with a little candy to go with my evening tea. And every morning I was greeted with a traditional English breakfast. It was the real deal... and she made sure to respect my dietary restrictions. I don't eat meat. I stayed in the Jane Austin room. It was so beautiful and very comfortable. The best part was the beautiful library that was decorated in English flair. Great spot to lounge in if you get bored in your room. I will be back in the area in a few weeks and will stay here again.

Absolutely amazing time here in this beautiful little inn. My fiancé and I were going to Assateague and wanted a spot to stay overnight rather than several hours of driving home. We stayed in the Robert Stevenson room, which was so charming and more importantly, spotlessly clean! I loved how the room is actually a little suite, with the bathroom and bedroom separated by a small entryway. Felt cozy yet spacious. We will definitely come again, and are telling our friends about it too! (Including a photo of the bathroom in our room, because that was one thing that was missing from the website and reviews when I was initially trying to figure out if I wanted to stay. Hope this helps others!)

My Husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Princess Anne Book Lovers Inn during our trip to Princess Anne, MD, and it was an experience we'll always treasure. Especially as it was booked as a Birthday Gift!

From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with the warmth and charm that one can only find in a British-style Bed and Breakfast. The Inn's decor was an enchanting blend of classic elegance and cozy comfort, making us feel right at home.

Each room was named after a famous literary character, and the shelves were filled with a remarkable collection of books. It was a haven for any bibliophile.

Heidi was an extraordinary host, taking care of every detail to ensure our stay was beyond delightful. She was knowledgeable about the area and offered excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining spots, which added to the overall experience.

But let's talk about breakfast – an absolute highlight! The morning meals were scrumptious and creative, with a touch of British flair. From savoring scones to relishing a full English breakfast, each day's culinary delight was a treat for our taste buds.

The inn's location was also ideal, situated close to historic sites, charming shops, and picturesque landscapes. Exploring the surrounding town was a joy, and we found ourselves immersed in its rich history and friendly community.

We can't recommend The Princess Anne Book Lovers Inn highly enough for those seeking a peaceful and unique escape. Whether you're a book enthusiast or simply looking for a cozy retreat, this B&B offers an unforgettable experience. We left with fond memories and a desire to return someday.

Thank you, Princess Anne Book Lovers Inn, for making our stay, and my...

We live in Easton, MD. My wife was taking me to Smith Island, MD for my birthday. We had to be at the Crisfield, MD dock at Noon to board the boat to Smith Island. Wanting to have a leisurely morning before getting on the boat, we looked for a B & B nearby so we didn't have to hurry to Crisfield from Easton. So, we found the Anderson's Booklover's B & B in Princess Anne, MD, just a short distance from Crisfield. We were greeted by the owner and innkeeper, Elizabeth Anderson. She proudly showed us around the B & B and got us settled in our room, the Jane Austen. Then, she suggested a place for dinner, the local hotel, just off the square in Princess Anne. But, before walking to dinner, we enjoyed cocktails on the side porch of the B & B, a delightful, private setting. And, we explored the bookshelves which we found everywhere...with something for everyone. After dinner, we walked lazily back to the B & B, got out our books out of our suitcases and climbed into bed for a good night's sleep. The next morning Elizabeth cooked us a wonderful breakfast and joined us for a chat as we ate. We discovered that we had some things in common with her and we thoroughly enjoyed her company. We would recommend this place to anyone who wants a comfortable bed in comfortable surroundings, a good breakfast and books galore...all overseen by a bright and entertaining host who has set high standards of hospitality and works hard at...

The stress of recently losing two family members and the demands of a classroom teacher with the start of a "post pandemic," as we may want to imagine it to be, school year besieged, pressing down and I needed a long weekend. A last-minute invaluable recommendation from a friend fulfilled a need that I didn't know I needed until the miraculous gift was experienced. Heidi heard my need over the phone and became my speedy, shining, timely angel of respite! A get away for my son and I became a nostalgic, dreamy lull, where the pace is slower, and people lazily lounge while reading a tangible page turner. Miss Jane Austen and Mr. Langston Hughes themselves would be rather inspired by the genuine blueprint of their gifted essence encapsulated at Princess Anne Book Lovers Inn. Heidi is the perfect hostess--from the pristine atmosphere to an authentically prepared and served English breakfast (with English chocolates and British tea & tea biscuits) and savvy shopping counsel upon request to boot! I'm already reviewing my calendar to book my next stay before year's end! Thank you, Heidi for being available for my son and I on many levels. Your graciousness shines through and through and we're looking forward to our next stay. Be...
