For those who want brief details: Positive: The fireworks were nice and the view from our treehouse cabin was beautiful. Negative: The staff were uninformed, the bathrooms were dirty with no soap or TP, the laundry area by the pool was old and only one working washer, and the lagoon was a mess and ran down. I would not recommend this KOA if you are looking for a KOA experience.

For those who like details: We normally love the KOA's and have been members for a while. This "resort" was the worst customer service experience we have ever had. This KOA was not kid friendly nor did it have the normal KOA activities for kids. For the adults, it did have a band and loud karaoke campers. There were plenty of people having fun.

The area outside our treehouse had broken clay things and rebar sticking out of the ground. There were many trip hazards over the area. The bridge to the lagoon obstacle course was covered in dead tree limbs and the water was stale with trash everywhere. There were many deflated floats which made it difficult and dangerous, the teens were falling off the top when they tried to jump and the workers were hanging out in the shade under the out of service zip line. They just watched people tripping over the tree limbs in the path. A very nice camper helped move it.

They did not clean the bathrooms the entire 5 days we were there. They did not refill the soap or toilet paper. We tried calling multiple times and sent text messages to no avail.

There was a list of rules that were not followed by anyone and we did not feel safe to let our kids play due to the speeding golf carts into all hours of the night.

We asked a number of staff where we could wash our dishes, not a single person, including the manager helped. PSA: We did find a sink in the laundry room in the RV section (Kentucky & Ohio road) where the washers and dryer that worked were located. (The ones by the pool were not working.) That bathroom and laundry room were in a better condition than all the others we found.

They had a sale on boat rentals. The text we received said, "🎉 4th of July Special at Prizer Point Marina and Resort! 🎉

Today and tomorrow only, cool off and celebrate with our exclusive boat rental offer: $200 OFF any boat rental! 🚤💦

Don't miss out on this exciting way to beat the heat and enjoy the holiday on the water.

Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸🎇

Resort Management Tiffany- Operation Manager"

We were contemplating a rental so we went to inquire. The staff said it could be used on any boat and included a half day. We questioned it because that made the rental $47 after the $200 deposit. The worker yelled to the other girl and said yes that is what we are doing. I said, it doesn't seem right, so then she went into the room behind the counter and the guy said it was only good for the 4th and 5th but not on the 6th (Sat). We were very excited, what a deal!!!. Well, I got my receipt emailed the next morning and they charged me $247 with a balance of $247... .the manager said that deal was $200 off for a 2 day boat rental and we owe $247 more.

Had ANY staff been trained or helpful, it may have made this review different. I hope it helps other KOA members make an informed decision. I think all my GREAT KOA experiences have raised my expectations for...

Kentucky Lakes / Prizer Point KOA..

This is going to be a super long review because unfortunately my Family’s & I first visit was not a good one. We Arrived July 17th right before 4pm. Talked to a girl that was friendly & knowledgeable about the KOA. We then followed a guy to our campsite. First issue #1. We have a Class A motorhome thats 41 feet long & was pulling a car behind. This camp ground is so cramped and the roads are so small! We got to our site which was right by the lake and the view was amazing. Issue #2 The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. DISGUSTING. We actually called the KOA phone number and got hung up multiple times before someone picked up. Told them about the bathrooms. They said they would send someone from housekeeping to clean it. We went later that day.. still wasn’t clean!? Issue #3 They have a restaurant called “The pier” we walked up to a couple people in line for ice cream. (Which the machine wasn’t working correctly, you could only get vanilla. If you wanted chocolate or Strawberry or any other kind they added syrup..) They only had 1 server. Answering phone, serving food, cleaning tables, doing everything. The food wasn’t bad. Asked for extra napkins for a table of 5. Got 2 napkins. Asked the waitress a couple questions her answer to every question was “i dont know”. Issue #3 The WIFI sucks! Issue #4 You can actually order food to be delivered to your campsite which is awesome & convenient especially if you have kids. I ordered a pizza around 6:30pm. Asked them to deliver it, they told me no problem. 8:30 comes and still no food. I called the restaurant. They told me it’s been sitting here ready for awhile. I told them it was supposed to be delivered. They told me that after 6pm they dont deliver food…? Aggravating & clearly a lack of communication. Issue #5 we rented a golf cart. We were checking out the next morning early because we had a 7 hour drive ahead of us. They told us to just drop the key’s to the golf cart at the check in building at the front. Welp the next day we drove up front and no one was working. No where to put the keys, no basket? No signs? Nothing. So we called the KOA phone number. No answer. So we left the keys on the counter & decided to call back later while we were on the road. Called an hour later finally got ahold of someone, told them the issue and they said they would go to the building to get the keys. (We we’re concerned because it’s $150 deposit) called back another hour later to make sure the worker found the key. They had no idea what were were talking about and they sent another worker to the building to go find them. 3 HOURS LATER, THE 3RD PHONE CALL and finally they said they found the key.

Issue #6 According to the KOA around 10pm starts quiet hours..? Yeah, no! It’s very loud. Mostly young kids driving around on golf carts playing music and yelling.

Will not be returning...

Will never stay at this over priced, incompetently run dump again. Stayed middle of June for a long weekend with 2 other families that we often camp with and I was absolutely shocked with not only the price but also the complete ignorance and incompetency of the staff. Manager is clueless as to customer relations. I've camped all over the US and have never come across a place I would never go back to until I stayed here. Staff is a joke. Anyone interested in staying at this place needs to read this:

Our group rented a golf cart for 3 days and rented their houseboat/pontoon for a day so on top of the expensive camp site there was a lot of money being spent here. You always expect good customer service but as a campground you sure do appreciate that kind of business...RIGHT!! On day 2 there was a very nice motorhome having damage from something that hit it. The campground employees immediately took the golf cart and accused us of doing it when after looking at the damage there was NO WAY the flemsy piece of crap golf carts that they store in mud and bumped into each other did the kind of damage on the RV. Wait there is more. The damage to the the RV just so happens to be an exact match to the 60 inch zero turn mower that had just been used that morning by a guy named Roy who was on his first day on the job and coincidentally gone for the day but this time. Thats right...an employee of this dump did the damage and they go out of their way to accuse innocent people that common sense showed didn't do this damage. Then, when we asked to speak to the manager guess what? She was gone for the day. So they have a regular customer with a $300,000 RV with extensive damage and 3 families spending a lot of money at their place that they have falsely accused of this damage and guess what Manager Tammy does...she leaves for the day without explanation to ANYONE leaving it in the hands of a staff completely incompetent to handle this and could only refer to her when they were questioned. Pointing out obvious pre-existing damage on the golf cart as happening on this RV when this is the worst fleet of golf carts we have ever seen. Worst display of customer relations I have ever seen. EVER! I know people tend to come on these and embellish their stories. Every word is just how it happened. If you don't mind overpaying for a site and you don't have to deal with these buffoons then you will probably be...
