DO NOT STAY HERE UNSANITARY
My Girlfriend made reservations here through expedia and I wish she had seen some of the previous reviews as they were spot on. Building appeared somewhat run down but nothing too bad as I did note a sign stating under new management effective this past August I thought likely a work in progress.
Upon finding our room and getting ready for bed we found what appeared to be a room that wasn't actually cleaned since the last guest but more likely remade to look clean. There was hair in our bed, pillow cases that were discolored from filth, unidentifiable black dots in the sheets and what appeared to be a blood stain on the top edge of the bedskirt. We made the decision there was no way we were sleeping in these conditions and we'd continue out on trip home to NH instead of attempting to rest. We went to the counter and a male subject later identifying himself as the owner was helping another customer who appeared to be having an issue with heat for his room. (This customer thinking we were checking in told us to "go while we still could") when the owner got to us, he made no efforts to appoligize for the situation only attempted to talk us into accepting a different room. We refused feeling if what we already saw was an example of thier sanitation standards there is no way we are staying in this place at all and we requested a refund. For all we knew based on our observations this place has bedbugs or somthing which we weren't about to bring home to our 3 children. The owner stated because we made the reservation through expedia we would need to address the issue with them.. We from the parking lot called expedia who in turn attempted to call the owner and verify our complaint and authorize the refund to which he (the owner) refused solely on the argument he offered us another room. I returned to discuss the issue further with the owner and to request he give Expedia the information they needed. He at first attempted to play dumb about what expedia was needing and claiming I needed to speak to them, he couldn't do anything, telling me it was my fault for booking thought them and it's likely nonrefundable per expedias policies, then when I called him out on what Expedia had already told us, he refused stating he didn't want to because he offered us another room. He claimed he was completely booked and could have sold that room to another customer which was a clear lie based on the 10 cars in the parking lot at now 1am when this was occuring. I also questioned if he was "booked" his ability to provide us with another room and he claimed he was just going to put another customer into our room... yuck for them... he refused to even go look over the room with me so I could show him the unsanitary conditions i was disputing. He was borderline rude, uncooperative and unreasonable over our complaint and seemed to not care at all since he already had our money. I would never recommend to anyone they attempt to sleep here.
In the end we did get our refund but we suspect based on what Expedia told us it was them providing it not the owner and that they intended to review the issue with...
Read moreI booked a room here because I was picking up a foster dog late at night and needed a place to crash with him before our drive home. My foster dog had been on a truck from Texas for the last 36 hours so I did not want to subject him to more driving. The information online said this inn accepted pets. I booked the room and we checked in around 11pm.||||Despite already peeing, he peed in the lobby on the tile floor. I took him outside immediately and an employee stuck his head out of the door and said to take him to the opposite side of the icy parking lot.||||Once inside this man’s first words to me were, “Is this pee? I’m going to have to clean this up.”||||I apologized and explained the above situation about the dog’s story. He said sorry did not help him. He then proceeded to say he would charge me $25 for the dog instead of $15 that is listed online. I pointed this out. He said that $15 was for pets under 25 pounds, and my foster dog was clearly over that. I asked to see the policy written down. He could not supply it. I said any damages would be covered in the deposit. He refused this logic.||||This man, Vinny Patel, then said that if there were any damages in the room, he would charge me $250. I asked to see a written policy. He produced a paper that said “undeclared pets and smoking in non smoking rooms will incur a cleaning fee of $250 added to your account.” I said that I was declaring this dog, the dog was right in front of us, so this policy, as written, would not technically be applicable.||||Throughout our conversation, he interrupted me, demonstrating terrible customer service, and refused to see my dog and me as equals who needed a safe place to rest for the night, demonstrating terrible character.||||Ultimately this Vinny Patel man said he was the owner and could do whatever he wanted. I did not want to subject myself or my foster dog to this rude man’s wrath and drove home that night.||||I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS...
Read moreI enjoyed my stay (13-16 July 2023) for the most part. This Hotel use to be “KNIGHTS INN”.
The 3 ladies I met in House Keeping are extremely friendly an helpful along with the maintenance man. It rained all day on Sunday they checked on us an allowed my Grandson to play in the hall gave advice where to order from as well. They kept my room clean & when I spoke with them personally they made sure I had what I needed in my room after the first day/night. THANK YOU LADIES 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
The Hotel is Pet Friendly 🐾 The Hotel is 420 friendly that was clear with the smell in the hall way as you walked in; howeva it is a 420 state so I could overlook the smell.
The front desk lady & man are rude I let the lady know my fire alarm was going off she got upset and walked away yelling at me. She didn’t care that I asked if room notified the front desk that Fire Alarm was going off (as I had my grandson) she just got more upset when I pointed was traveling with a 17mos old baby and I had to walk to the front desk to alarm them myself cause no one picked up the phone. I couldn’t go get extra towels & they weren’t willing to walk them to my room I was informed to reuse my towels & wash cloths because we are only allowed four per day🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ I was like I have a baby with me and it’s Summer extra towels & wash cloths was needed!
All an all besides the front desk folks my stay wasn’t bad at this hotel. My first time staying at a Motel 6.
