This place looked as though it had been caught back in the 1970's!! It was horrible! It was not clean, my bathroom sink did not get hot water, my refrigerator was broken, the carpet was dirty, the beds smelled like they were moldy and musty, the shower still had mold and mildew in it, the walls had wood paneling on them, there was only standing lamps, which did not give much lighting at all. I am not sure why this hotel is able to get 3.8 stars, but overall it really does not deserve any stars. It was by far the worst place I have ever stayed in. Luckily, I always travel with my own cleaning kit and it took me an hour to clean this room and to get it to a decent level of cleanliness that I would feel comfortable in. Don't let me get started on the breakfast. I am lactose intolerant and there was NOTHING, I could put in my coffee as creamer there! Everything was Crystal brand milk, creamer, and half and half. The only creamer they had, which is also not good is the Delight brand, which you do not have to keep cold. There was prepackaged pastries, that tasted like fake food, only two kinds of fruit(apple and oranges), a bunch of stale smelling bagels and bread you can toast. The jelly was Smuckers brand, which was just sugar and flavor. So let us get to customer service. As I mentioned, my refrigerator did not work and my bathroom sink did not get hot water for some reason. I called the front desk and let them know and this was her response, "oooh, I'm sorry, our maintenance man is gone for the day and oh shoot if I had a room to transfer you in I would, but we are full. Tomorrow I will let him know about your refrig and maybe he can fix it or something". Maybe? I explained to her that I needed a working refrigerator tonight because I had food that would spoil. This was her response, "We can get him to come look at your refrig tomorrow, I am sorry about that". In the mean time what was I suppose to do about my food. It would be different if they did not advertise the refrigerators in the rooms, but this was one of their many false amenities. Next day, I came back from working in the woods and the maintenance man did not fix my refrigerator nor did he fix the hot water in the bathroom sink. I went to the office and complained again about the refrigerator and the bathroom sink. They transferred me to another room, which was better than the first one, but still dirty and gross and I had to break out my cleaning kit again. The refrigerator worked and the bathroom sink worked, but the room still smelled like mold and was musty. This place gets a lot of Caltrans workers, field workers, truck drivers, construction workers, and some other guest. How this hotel has not been inspected by the Environmental Health Services, I am not sure, but they would not be getting the 3.8 stars that they have been receiving if they did their job correctly. I just happened to take a look at the people who cleaned the rooms, and found out why the rooms are not as clean as they should be, playing around on the job, talking loud, gossiping to each other about what they found in some of the guest rooms, and laughing about it. Oh and they did not once clean my room and I was there for 4 nights. If it was not for my job choosing this place, I would NEVER stay at this place. You have been warned.

Couldn't get much smaller on rooms. When a tiny corner includes the "closet"over a table, and lamp not much can be utilized. If you're looking for a place to sleep only, it would be great.. and I would stay again- on vacation. Wish there was another that took CLC so that we had room to work and spread out a bit. I will say their breakfast is pretty darn good. OJ, milk, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, muffins, pastries, fruit and more. And the blond lady at the front is super friendly and helpful. The maid and maintenance are friendly as well. And OMG the cookies are to die for!

The rooms are a bit dingy and small, with worn carpets. Location is great with several bars and places to eat just around the corner. Lovely views of the mountains. Free DVD rental. Surprisingly good free breakfast.

The folks that work here are uniformly pleasant and helpful. The rooms are ok, but I honestly expected better for the price. The wifi kept going out at random times and the desk clerk figured that the router(s) needed to be rebooted.

The extra blanket and carpet show cigarette or ember burns, but work fine. I found the clock radio behind the nightstand covered with a fine sheen of dust as if it had been there for quite some time. I found a lost battery under one of the beds, both of which show signs of hard use. The cover on the bottom of each was torn up pretty badly.

The tub looks fantastic! It is deep and luxurious, but the bottom is roughed up so you cannot slide down making bathing problematic. The shower is fantastic! Great water pressure and hot water! The roughed up tub floor is great for showering.

The room would benefit from a small table or something such to use as an impromptu desk near the sitting chair, though there isn't a lot of room to spare...

The continental breakfast consists of fruit, juice, cereal, coffee, hot chocolate, and a wide selection of bread products: muffins, english muffins, bagels, sliced breads for toast, etc.

All in all this is a nice place to stay, if a little on the spendy side. The people working here definitely push it over into the GOOD category. It is a short walk from downtown, and a short drive to...

After a very stressful few months I was treated to a visit to Quincy by my aunt to visit my familys homestead, after a 2 day drive which included the last 30 miles thru a severe storm we arrived at this place in 41 degree weather to get a room. because of no reservation we were charged over 100. The air conditioner was running full blast and the room was about 35 degrees, we were so exhausted we just wanted to sleep but when we turned on the heater it set off the fire alarm and filled the room with a nauseous Oder. we notified the front desk and asked for another room only to be told there were no rooms available. We offered to keep the room if we could have extra blankets and a considerable discount. Imagine our surprise when the manager could talk by phone to the receptionist by couldn't be bothered to speak with us and would only give a 10. discount, The room was not real clean but being disabled we needed rest. We requested she speak with us but she refused. after several requests JANICE ?????????? stood firm on the 10.00. and we requested a refund, Leaving town and will NEVER return to this establishment. JANICE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT NOT EMPLOYEES who only follow...
