What a way to end a honeymoon road trip! This was just what we needed, a beautiful hotel, great staff, excellent food. We chose to slow down at the end of our rod trip and searched for somewhere we could just relax. Our check-in was quick and easy and the staff at reception were nice and polite. Entering our room was amazing, it was large and well decorated, it had the feeling of luxury. We had a balcony overlooking the pool area. Our first night we headed on down to the bar, they had happy hour with select drinks and food at reduced rates. We had a couple of drinks then decided to sit outside and have some food, then we headed back to the bar where we met Jay who was a consultant for the hotel and Thao who worked behind the bar, they both took time to speak to us, guest interaction is really important and we saw this happening a lot on our stay, we chatted away into the night and had quite a few drinks on board by the time we left the bar, but it was a lovely evening with great conversation. The next morning, feeling slightly worse for wear, we headed for breakfast. My husband had an omelette which you could choose from a list of options, I chose the Greek yoghurt with granola and berries, we shared a big plate of fruit. We were so thankful for this breakfast, we had been to many places to eat along the way and while we aren't super healthy we do like to eat well and most places had very few healthier options, so this was amazing. We then decided to spend the day by the pool, something we don't do very often as we like exploring, the pool was very clean as was the area around it, it wasn't very busy while we were there so it was very relaxing. We had lunch not far from the pool, I had a mezze platter and my husband had chicken ceaser salad, only criticism on that was too many croutons but other than that it was again delicious and very welcome plates of food. We stayed next to the pool for the rest of the day. In the evening there was a singer, he was very good, he came round the tables and had a chat with everyone half way through his set which was lovely. We had some dinner, I chose the very yummy belly pork and my husband had the beef stew soup. To finish we had a new york cheesecake (thank you Jay!) We headed up to bed early as we had to be up early to fly home from San Francisco. The hotel does have a spa although we did not visit it. If you're looking for a place to chill and allow your worries to melt away for a bit then this is the place, thank you!

The room is quite nice, although there is no bathtub. (Only shower) The beds were ok and all the appliances we used were fine. The in-room refrigerator is very small though. There was a nice balcony in the room we got. We stayed here with a spa package. Depending on which package you get it can include wine, cheese/meat board, flowers, or a dining credit in addition to the included spa service. The pool was very nice on the 100+ degree days. There was some shade in the late afternoon so no need for sunscreen past a certain time. The front desk was very helpful and accommodating on a few different occasions. They don't offer sit-down breakfast with the room, but they do provide to-go breakfast bags which can work in a pinch. The location here is either convenient if you are doing something in town, or not convenient if you are not doing something right nearby. Come here to enjoy the spa and pool, and less to visit the nearby area.

Top-notch service and attention to detail.

I live only about 45 minutes from this place and I've driven by it several times and wanted to check it out so I was excited when my husband encouraged me to take a Momcation/Spa retreat.

I booked the room with ease the same day of my departure. When I arrived I scanned the QR code and checked in. The girl at the front desk (I wish I remembered her name) was so amazing! She was sweet, efficient, and hospitable. When I got to my room I instantly felt relief. As I checked the cleanliness of the room I was relieved that it met my expectations. This place is ah-mazing.

Pros: Attention to detail- from the shower to the decor and everything in between Spa (more on that below) Staff- friendly and welcoming. They addressed my by name as I walked the halls. I felt so special! ❤ Walkability of the area was great Comfortable bed Good food at the restaurant

Cons: Wifi Coffee

So let's just get the cons out of the way because they are minimal. I did have to use my hotspot to work from my laptop. And I had to work, it was paying for me to be there. I sent a quick note to the front desk and she was going to reverse a resort fee but she never did. It's ok. Coffee- ugh.. the dreaded Keurig! I hate that machine and the vile liquid it shoots out. NESPRESSO is the way to go in a high-end place like Rancho Murieta Spa Hotel. Honestly, I'd be happier with a traditional brewing coffee machine rather than the Keurig. Please. There isnt a Starbucks near by and the local coffee shop didnt really satisfy my morning coffee need.

Back to the good stuff, I received daily check-in texts to see how my stay was going. Fantastic Service!

The spa- love! Iove! Love! I did the works! Nails were OK, I paid $90 for gel mani/pedi that she only spent about an hour and 15 minutes on BUT let me tell you, Anthony and Felicia made up for it with their service. I went in with a mess on my head. Anthony owned it, he did a color correction on someone else's screwup and I was receiving compliments on my hair by everyone. He was fun, funny, and extremely talented. If you're lucky enough to sit in his chair, sit proud. 😄 Felicia got me in for a quick facial and I would have paid more than double to get more time with her. Her sweet spirit and gentle nature were the perfect way to end my day at the spa. I felt like a million bucks. I love her. I WILL be going back regularly for both Anthony and Felicia.

Food- Due to Covid there were restrictions on dining and it was all moved outside. All the food was good. I had the french dip. Yum! They have nightly specials that are wonderful and the staff are great too.

I cannot wait to book a getaway with my husband. I cannot say enough about this place, it's a gem!

Thank you for taking care of me, valuing me, and welcoming me. I'll be a lifetime custom of your hotel, spa, and...

I stayed at this location to assist a friend in the 2021 Ironman in Sacramento. The hotels closer had jacked their prices and were pretty much sold out, except places I was not willing to stay (less than one star).

The staff of this hotel was very friendly, and kept me abreast of the changes with the hotel amenities. Due to staffing issues, they curtailed the ours of the restaurant to the point it was only serving drinks and "light" appetizers from 4 - 9 pm. When I called to check on the selection of appetizers, I was informed they had three items (I believe it was only three, could have been four) the only one remotely appetizing to me would be the chips and cheese. One of the reasons I chose this hotel being farther out than some others, is the availability of a 24 hour restaurant since I was getting up at 3:00 am so I could get to the ironman course in time.

The room was clean and comfortable. The decor appeared to be from the 70's and was worn. The carpet throughout the facility need to be updated. The bathroom appears that it was updated not too long ago, and was clean. The toilet seat in the bathroom needs replacing, it is so worn it won't stay on the rim of the toilet.

I did not use the amenities on site, I was off in Sacramento a good portion of my time. I will say that charging $7.00 for a bottle water in your room is insane. There is a grocery store next door that makes great sandwiches, has good fruit selections, and sells water at normal grocery store prices.

All in all, it was ok, but certainly not even close to a four star hotel. I have stayed at four star properties, and this is really...
