It’s Amazing when you find something so beautiful the only thing left to do is write about it. I can only describe this experience as “One of a Kind”. When I think of Haciendas I picture what my Ninety-Four year old grandmother described to me in the stories of her childhood. Beautiful red brick houses with lots of rooms and handmade art everywhere. I arrived here in the evening and was immediately captivated by the brilliant arrangement of lights cradled around a giant tree in the middle of the circular courtyard as you drive in. Gardens everywhere. The landscape is gorgeous, just green everywhere. An enormous Koi pond built perfectly to fit the hacienda. I was so amazed at how knowledgeable and hospitable the staff was the entire experience. Thank you Laura for being the heart of my experience. I am all about the people making ones experience so memorable and I’m yet to be corrected. The amenities are spectacular. With a game room filled with classic past times like ping pong, pool, darts, air hockey and giant chess. The pool was clean and enormous. Each room is unique and special. I stayed in Room “B”, it stands for Bordeaux. Bordeaux is a small town in France known for its great wine. I believe they really captured that small town vibe along with having some of the best wine I’ve ever tasted. Made right there at their vineyard. I was given a a tour of the cellar that was Beyond words. A hint of old with lots of class and beautiful architecture. It was truly a real privilege being able to see such a true masterpiece. I immediate began to think about taking some wine back home with me and share it with the other wine enthusiast in my life. I also grabbed an extra bottle of the white wine to enjoy it while unwinding and reading a good book. My had a bookshelf with great reads. The room filled with just beautiful furniture. Every detail of this room was planned like a each stroke to a painting masterpiece. If I could describe my experience I would simply word it as living inside a beautiful painting made in the 1930’s and being able to taste the culture through great wine. Vineyard Hacienda gets 6 stars. Everything about this place speaks volumes of what it represents. A place to get away to or to find yourself in. I encourage you to experience this place to its full potential. I know I have and I will continue to make this my go to destination to simply get away from it...
Read moreis great as a venue but NOT a hotel.||Where do I begin. The decor is horrifying, the men's room has (tasteful) naked women painted all over the walls, the grounds are poorly kept theres spider webs EVERYWHERE. ||The "gym" is outside and.. also just covered in dust and spider webs. We got our room [way over priced for the room] and it was OK. King size bed like we paid for but zero A/c, just a tower fan. (Insane for summer.. invest in a/c units). ||HERES WHAT REALLY GETS ME. We check in, we head out for our day and get an email, thankfully we checked. Called them, we got an "upgrade" for some reason so we head back to move our stuff. THEY ALREADY MOVED ALL OUR STUFF. I had fragile stuff in my suitcase and I'm VERY uncomfortable with them having repacked my clothes and moved my and my wife's things WITHOUT OUR CONSENT.||So we get to the "upgraded' room and it has a FULL BED, NOT A KING. course they're fully booked already so no way to get another one since, shocker, they GAVE OUR ORIGINAL ROOM TO SOMEONE ELSE. To which we still had the keys for and walked into a room full of someone else's stuff. ||On to the best parts. The "upgraded" room had a smaller TV that was even more awkwardly placed than the last room and theres a laundry shoot with MORE disturbing naked women paintings shoved inside of it, nightmare fuel. Still no A/c and broken window shutters. They claimed it had the best view. Well it was of the parking lot and their poorly kept grounds.||My wife's bedside drawer has no handle, instead a sharp SCREW STICKING OUT. I dont know how they haven't been sued.||Theres a no letter on our door like the others so I dont think this was a room for guests. Theres a desk in here with an ancient PC tower and old notebook paper with writings on it from ages ago. Looks like an abandon room maybe someone used to live in, who knows. My best advice, find somewhere else to stay. I'm 99% sure these 5 star reviews are fabricated or made by people who didn't stay in the hotel long.||The pool was nice looking but I was afraid to use it after seeing the state of the place. ||Worse than a motel 6. I'd have rather slept in my car.||A refund is the least they could do but you can be sure that...
Read moreI typically have a rule of leaving no bad reviews. But some things just need to be said..
On June 12th (my wife's birthday morning) at 6:30am I sat outside keeping the dog, Luna, quite. Luna was barking outside for an hour. Literally just barking at the house for someone to let her back in, 20ft from the front door. Guests were yelling "shut that dog up!" and are slamming doors. But no staff came to quite the dog. So I took it upon myself to sit outside with Luna on the couch so the other guests (including my wife and 2yr old) can sleep. I will not let Luna back in house because I can't find any staff in the first place and there is a guest staying there who does not like dogs. So I walk around the property with Luna several times but didn't see anyone who works there. Finally after 30-40min of me babysitting their dog (now 1.5hrs since she first started barking) I see a light come on downstairs where the staff stays. So I knock on the wall and someone comes around the corner completely unaware that the dog has been barking and disturbing guests that morning.
We are dog people and absolutely love dogs. But Luna has openly snaps her jaws at my 2yr old daughter every time she is around her. Not in an aggressive way, but still very concerning because it's always directed at her face. We try to take photos on the property later that morning and Luna is loose once again. The dog won't leave us alone and I don't trust her around my daughter anymore. Luna has dirty paws and is jumping on my wife's and daughters clean dresses. I have to pick my daughter up anytime the dog comes near.
It makes me even wonder why a dog is allowed to freely roam the property unsupervised in the first place. Luna is a puppy and needs proper training and supervision. Dog poop has been sitting on the floor in the house for two days in an area that is blocked off from quests, but you can see it just sitting there. One guest even started yelling late one night and causing a commotion about dog poop and pee...
