I really enjoyed my stay here on a Sunday night. Is it the nicest place I've ever stayed? No. But it was quiet, the check in process was easy, and there were even friendly cats roaming around. I had the hot tub to myself where I could finally relax while watching the stars after a week of camping. The ambience at night was very peaceful, I can tell the owner has put a lot of love in the grounds. The cabin was small but cozy, and the showers were very hot. The bed was comfortable enough and the room seemed clean enough. Overall I would stay again if I'm ever passing through.

I really liked this place. The cabins are very comfortable and roomy. They are clean and freshly renovated. There's places to eat close by within walking distance And so many places to go explore close to town. People have complained about security around the town and I think that's unfair, Rangel is a typical small town in western Colorado where honorable people live and work and issues are isolated. If you're worried about security then stay in the cities, western Colorado is a place where you don't have to lock your door

While traveling I threw a dart at the map and it landed here! I’m so glad it did as I love finding the small town best places to stay. Our host greeted us at the office and checked us in. We stayed in one of the cute cabins they have on the property. It’s great for just the two of us. It was clean and comfortable. I’ll recommend this place to anyone that is passing through this way. The price is right and the location is easy to get to. A great place to eat is right across the street.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way back home from Vegas. Located in a quiet little small town. Our room was located near the back of the property just above the little lounge area that had a BBQ, which was a godsend for us. After being on the road for the past week and a half eating nothing but takeout or gas station food, it was nice to go down the road to the little grocery store and get us some meat and veg for a BBQ. The people that own or ran it were very helpful. The BBQ could have used a good cleaning before I used it, but it didn't take long for me to clean it up a bit. Very quiet area. The rooms were clean. They provide a nice sized tv and a small fridge. The bathroom was small with one of those sloped ceiling, so it was a bit tough for me and my 2 teens, we are all over 6 feet. The bathroom door also did not close. It was a bit of a scary ride getting here though coming up from Arizona through Utah on CO-139, through I think its called Garfield County. The mountain road was quiet twisty and turny, so it was a little bit of a stressful ride. I would recommend taking a different...

At first it seemed okay. Simple cabins with micro wave and refrigerator, tv with dish network, friendly office staff and clean appearance.

First offense was after checking into our unit i went to make hot water for tea with the coffee maker. I was confronted by an used coffee pack in the filter basket. Second offense my wife found someone's hairpin on the floor. That was all within the first hour.

Next day we left early to go explore around Vernal, Utah at the Dinosaur National Monument. We returned around 3pm well after housekeeping is done. No housekeeping was done even though it states on their website "daily housekeeping." This meant no clean towels and no clean trash bag and no clean or made bed (i really only care about the towel issue).

The final offense is the fact that even using the provided username and password and making connection to their 'free wifi' you couldn't obtain an ip address. So my wife...

I have stayed at the Moosehead Lodge, on 2 separate occasions, in December 2022. Both times, my stays were absolutely outstanding. Their cabins are tastefully done, warm, inviting, roomy, clean and well contained. Kodi and Travis are beautiful people, exceptional owners, managers and host and hostess that go above and beyond to meet their guests needs. They answer the phone, are available and they are extremely responsive morning, noon or night. I did not know them before my first stay and now consider them friends and feel like family when I am there. They have earned my utmost respect and trust, because of the people they are. I will stay with them again soon and can wholeheartedly, earnestly and in good conscious recommend them, anytime you are within driving distance from their lodge. They are the best. Absolutely...
