This location is absolutely beautiful. MOST of the crew was polite and very helpful setting up and tearing down for our wedding. Kylee and the young man (I believe his name was Connor?), were very polite, helpful and had great customer service skills. Heres the issue I have is their customer service skill, communication, and front desk clerical have much to learn. During our whole planning process with this venue we were given 3-4 different event coordinators. We pretty well forgave this due to covid but it seemed that they did not pass along all of the information with each coordinator. We were told several different things as far as payments and decorating guidelines. I remained calm and go with the flow with all the sudden changes that involved the venue and the payments. I had asked several times via email and phone when I was to pay the last payment on our venue. I wasn't given a straight answer until 48 hours before my wedding with only half of my venue paid for, I was freaking the heck out. This is something that should have been addressed the first time I'd asked. After the wedding, when we were told we would be "sat down" and go over the final bill, all we were given was a very confusing piece of paper with a final balance. We had asked to pay for the sleeping room separately from the cost of the venue. We put the rooms on one card and the venue on another for a specific reason. Then when we were given the FIRST price for the venue it was $2,000+ short of what I knew the final price should be. I pointed it out instead of just paying the lower price and asked for a recalculation. The SECOND price was a little closer to the correct amount but I explained I felt as though it was still lower than what I should pay. The gal at the desk told me to pay the amount she came up with and if there was anything wrong with it, they'd give me a call on Monday when Kelly returned. I specifically requested a phone call no matter what the outcome of the final bill was so I wouldn't stress about owing someone money and so we could send them money from the correct account. I NEVER received a phone call on Monday but found a new charge on my credit card. My husband called and left a voicemail with Kelly asking for a detailed copy of the receipt and to find out why were charged without receiving a phone call first as requested and promised. The next day (Tuesday) came and by 11:30 we still had not received a call as requested so we had to call them AGAIN to find out what was going on. When we got ahold of Kelly, she knew EXACTLY what we were talking about so we knew she had gotten our voicemail and neglected to call us back ASAP again as we requested. Her and my husband went back and forth on the phone about why we were not given a phone call before being charged. Instead of offering a sincere apology, we got "I'm sorry, I understand you're upset, BUT" every apology offered was followed by a BUT. There is no BUTS for this situation. They messed up, but were trying to put it on us. Then we were told "You are responsible for paying the balance on the venue". This is very insulting to us. We had NO ISSUE paying for the venue, we just had a specific account the venue was to be paid out of and they used a form of payment that was for the sleeping rooms and they used it for the remaining balance without authorization. All I wanted was a CLEAR explanation and a sincere apology and we had to pull teeth just for the explanation. I HATE writing reviews like this, this is the first time I've ever written one but I feel like others should be warned about these issues a head of time, especially when they are getting ready to spend thousands of dollars for their wedding or other event. I am very disappointed and more than likely won't be back until these issues are fixed or they get new staff who will be courteous to...

I am not the person to write reviews, but this resort was astounding! Since under new ownership, the complete property has been remodeled and it is absolutely stunning! I'll start at the beginning... Making a reservation was a breeze. Upon arrival, Maurice was so welcoming and had so much knowledge about the resort. He answered all my questions on the room without me having to ask! The atmosphere was welcoming of my pup with treats right at the front desk! I then head to the room, upon entry there were 2 bathrobes to use, dog bowls set up for my pup as well as a dog bed and a little gift package of treats, ball, and poop bags. 2 souvenir water bottles were a nice token to keep. The bedroom and bathroom were so clean I felt like the first person to stay there. There was a coffee maker, coffee, and some glasses in the dresser drawer- very easy to find and I liked how it was put away as this made the room more pleasing to the eye (I don't like stuff on the tables.) The balcony was huge! Very spacious and relaxing. The heat/cooling remote was on the wall and easy to use. I then went to the pool. The pool is huge! The entire pool is the same depth which allowed me to not be concerned for my kids playing as I sat in the sauna. There was also a cold plunge- not my thing personally, but a very unique amenity. There was also an outdoor sauna that really set the mood, especially to sit in it after dark with the lights. After having time to relax, we went to the room to get cleaned up for dinner. The soaps were in dispensers which was so convenient and ensured I had enough soap to wash with. They provided a makeup rag- this was much appreciated. And also provided a disposable loofa that was nice to have as I actually forgot mine. The hand soap and lotion was such good quality , I wish I had purchased some from the store. The hairdryer was amazing! For a folding hotel hairdryer, this one had power and efficiency, it made getting ready quick and easy. The restaurant was so relaxing. Itai was such a great server! He made us feel at home and not rushed at all. He was also the bartender and made delicious cocktails. The food was absolutely superb! I was pleasantly pleased with the special that I was hesitant to try as it was unique and different. Back to the room, the TV had a screenshare option. I can't tell you how many times I've stayed somewhere and have no way to play what I want on the TV. The screenshare setup was easy and I got to play the movie my kids wanted to watch on my phone that projected on the TV. The USB/charging right at the bedside was of huge convenience for this. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud. The comfort was unbeatable. The sound of the water fountain in the pond was a delight to listen to with the balcony door open. Room charges were a breeze. Angie and Tina were amazing gals during checkout. I can't wait to come back and stay longer. I definitely recommend a few...

We had the most magical visit to Rock Creek Resort this summer! The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, and our room was stunning, clean and cozy. Because it's new, everything is pristine and has that new smell that we loved. We were greeted in our room with the sweetest touches of a local jam and candies along with Rock Creek Resort branded water bottles - it felt like the warmest welcome! The best part was the creek right outside our sliding door balcony - we went to bed and woke up every day to the sounds of rushing water. As my kids said, "we don't even need our sound machine!"||Rock Creek is incredibly family-friendly. They gave us coloring books and crayons at check-in and there's a great little playground right on site. The kids loved swinging and climbing and we loved having a spot to get their energy out!||One of the things we loved most about the property was how much there was to do. We could've easily spent a week there. While we didn't make it fly fishing this trip, the white water rafting was fantastic (the highlight of our family adventure!) and the hiking trails were beautiful. We spent a full day in Red Lodge too - the wildlife sanctuary there was such a treat and the town itself was like something out of a Hallmark movie.||The food in the onsite restaurant was delicious and the spa amenities were top-notch. The dry sauna situated right by the creek is pretty incredible - I could've easily spent an evening in there all by myself! The whole place has this perfect mix of cozy mountain lodge vibes with high-end touches. You feel like you're at a luxury resort tucked away in the rugged wilderness.||We had the most memorable few days at Rock Creek Resort and we can't wait to come back. If you're looking for a place that has something for everyone - great for families but still feels special, adventurous and romantic, this is it. Just plan to stay longer than you think because, I promise, you won't want to leave....

Rock Creek Resort in Red Lodge has been fully renovated at it gorgeous! The staff is super attentive very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were also great! It's just a few miles out of town but they have beautiful hikes near by so it is worth being a bit out of town. Great job Rock Creek Resort! We will be back, Thank you ! #rockcreekresort #redlodge #montana #traveltiktok #placestostayinredlodge

**Updated review. **upon leaving we realized our 4 year old left her stuffed animal. The resort was kind enough to call and let is know - 10 gold stars for RCR!! We spent a week on Whitefish and decided to stop back in for a stay on our way home. They have recently remodeled the hotel and it is beautiful, but it doesnt have the rustic charm we experienced the first time. It's a beautiful resort, but they look to be catering to more venue, higher end crowd. The staff are still great and were very accommodating when we had an small issue with our room. Red Lodge is a great town and definitely worth the stop! ORIGINAL REVIEW: If you are coming to or leaving Yellowstone, this is a great stopping point right near the Beartooth Pass. After a long day in the park and Beartooth Pass we stumbled on to this charming place. It is very much a throw back to the good old days of hotels with its homey charm and quaintness. We found all the accommodations to be great for our family. Our girls loved the large HEATED pool and the balcony out our room had a beautiful view of the rushing stream. We we able to safely leave our sliding door open to our deck to listen to the stream at night. Yes, this location is older with some wear, but if you are looking for a quiet, charming location to stay in, this is the place. The restaurant was even so kind as to make our family a very late supper with only 20 minutes left to closing time. All the staff was very friendly and incredibly accommodating. There were several other benefits (volleyball, etc) that we didn't take in because our stay was short. They had a very nice set up for breakfast and it was perfect for our family with small children. If you're looking for a local, authentic hotel experience that isn't a big chain, I'd highly recommend this spot!

My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at Rock Creek Resort in August 2025. The resort was still in the process of renovation but even with that it was an absolutely beautiful location and room. We were the first to stay in our river facing studio suite and it was above and beyond our expectations. Modern detailing in the room but still warm and inviting. Our balcony was so large and even wrapped around the corner, just incredible! We spent so much time out on the balcony enjoying the sounds of the rushing river and watching the changes in nature throughout the day. One day we did the Mount Maurice trail hike that is just on the other side of the river, it offered phenomenal views and was a nice moderate hike. The indoor pool was a refreshing treat to ease into the late afternoon. Best part it is only 10min from Red Lodge which offered great dining options and unique boutique shops. We can't recommend Rock Creek Resort enough and hope to make a trip back someday. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay feel so special.
