My fiance and I had blocked off rooms for our wedding over a year in advance because, like most people, we like to plan ahead. We had heard from our wedding venue that management had recently changed at the Americinn and they've had nothing but trouble with the hotel. So, we called over three months in advance to double check our reservation to make sure that things were in order, only to find out that our reservations had been changed from what we had been originally told. Originally we had blocked off 30 rooms (the max amount that we were told at the time of reservation) and we were told that eveyrything was in order and good to go! Now we were told that there were only 22 rooms blocked off and that since the person that we originally worked with at Americinn was no longer working there they said "we cannot honor that contract" we were never notified that this person had left, so how were we to know that we needed to rebook? So now we have 22 rooms blocked off, but now we're told that those rooms that were blocked off are not even guarenteed. Needless to say we are choosing to scrounge around town for new hotels for our guests. I understand that management may change and policies may change, but that's no excuse for how we were treated an how the situation was dealt with. We spoke to Randy (the new manager) during this conversation and he was very rude, unhelpful and never apologized for the situation and when we had asked to remove our reservation he said "ok" and...

We booked with them because they had a shuttle to both the airport and Mayo Clinic. This hotel was a higher price, but we figured the shuttle would be worth it. When we arrived at the airport in Rochester and called for the shuttle at 10 PM, we were informed that the shuttle only ran from 6 AM to 6 PM. We uber'd over and got settled into our room. Our clock radio made a popping and clicking noise when anything was plugged into it but it was too late that night to call the front desk. We also found that our refrigerator didn't work. As we were only there a couple nights and at the clinic the majority, we didn't make a big deal about it. The next morning when taking a shower, we noticed the shampoo provided from the hotel was still in the shower from the last person, which made us wonder about cleaning. The bed and pillows were also extremely uncomfortable. The only saving grace for the hotel was the driver Anthony who works the 6 AM to 1 PM shift. He was extremely friendly and even came in early on our departure day to take us to the airport before 6 AM. On top of that, when we needed to be picked up from Mayo at 2 PM (after Anthony's shift) he had to come back in to pick us up because there was an issue with the other driver that was supposed to come in. Sadly Anthony was only one man and while he was a great employee and did an awesome job, the rest of the hotel left a lot to be desired and I don't know that...

We made a reservation at this hotel online and the minute we walked in the front door the desk clerk ranted and rave about if you make a reservation online it doesn’t show up in their system for 10 to 15 minutes. She offered no solution she then proceeded to inform us that if we had double queen rooms reserved they had none available and got very belligerent with me when I was trying my hardest to be nice to her. She then proceeded to tell me that she would not check me in to our rooms and that we needed to leave the hotel. I continue to try to be nice to her and asked if she could upgrade us to another room that had a king bed and hide a bed and she refused to do that also. I am now forced to drive with my very tired family after my dad‘s cancer treatment another 48 minutes to another hotel because this desk clerk was so unaccommodating and unwilling to do anything to help us. When I tried to explain our situation to her she proceeded to tell me that she was exhausted also and had been at the hotel for 24 hours and acted like that was an excuse to treat me badly. She told me my reservations were canceled and that I would not be charged. I have never ever been treated so poorly at a facility. I am a travel nurse and have traveled all over the United States and never ever have I’ve been...

My family and I stayed here a night while driving to Rapid City. Very nice place to stay for quick trip to nearby airport or if you're on a road trip. Not really anything else nearby. We arrived around 930p, and most nearby food places close by 9p, we found a subway that closed at 10p. The front desk staff was very friendly and checked us in quick. It is a dog friendly hotel, which was why we chose this hotel. It's also very close to I90 and was very easy to find. The room was a very nice size, I'm not sure if that's the standard for those with pets. We had 2 full size beds, and a sofa bed. It was very clean, bathroom too. The tub was jetted which was great after a long drive. They offer breakfast in the morning as well, a good amount of variety. There's a little area with tables to eat. There's a pool, but we didn't get to check it out. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I did find a few stains on the shower curtain, and there was a bit of a mildewy smell, and the walls are thick, we could still here our neighbors. Otherwise GREAT for one or 2 nights.

Although I completely forgot to take any pics, our stay was awesome. We arrived at 9:00pm, this nice older lady at the desk was very informative, polite, patient and helpful. Our room was clean, smelled nice, and very comfortable. The A.C in the room worked excellent, the elevator was a nice touch. The breakfast was awesome. My family of five loved the hot breakfast items. The eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy just couldn’t be beat. Of course I appreciated the cereal and yogurt options for my picky eater. Check out was a breeze. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly!! In town for my Daughter’s Dance Competition. One night wasn’t enough. 😉

The lady that checked us in was very kind and helpful. The breakfast options were good as well! Staff seemed very accommodating with coordinating blocks for large parties. The building is under construction at the moment. I'm thinking we got one of the rooms that hasn't been updated yet. The room wasn't cleaned well- lots of cobwebs and dust. We found stains on the sheets and blankets. The bathroom doesn't have great ventilation and there were quite a few dark spots on the ceiling above the shower. The room did have a musty smell to it as well. Hoping these things will be fixed with the remodel!
