My service was only good, because as I was sitting there trying to get a lower rate online, I was reading the reviews about the night time/early morning manager, and she was sitting right there at the time!!! I watched her and listened to her treat others with so much disrespect. She has no business being in a customer service position, let alone being a manager. She doesn't know how to talk to people and her attitude stinks.
Even when I went to pay for my room, I went there because I saw it for $48 before I left the airport, after missing my flight. She told me it would be over $100... (I forgot the rate), plus $100 deposit that would be held on my card. When I told her about the $48 rate, she quickly snapped and said "that's online!" That's when I told her that I would try to book it online and she said that's fine.
I could see what everyone was talking about as I read the reviews. I was probably reading for over 20 minutes before I started booking. Some of the reviews were pertaining to the construction, and some were pertaining to the condition of the rooms. I booked the room through a third party and got it cheap, then I went to her again and laughingly said, "These reviews are crazy! 😄 Do people give y'all a hard time? They should understand if you are under construction then there is going to be a mess in the lobby. They complained about everything from management to the rooms. I just want a clean, fresh bed to lay in because my body is sore. My rheumatoid arthritis and lupus is flaring up and I just need to rest in a clean quiet place."
She said, "Girl these people are something else. They always have something to complain about, but I just do my job and keep going. Then she told me about the $100 hold on my card again. I asked her if it would be taken off when I check out because I only had enough to rebook my flight for the next day. She told me that it depended on my bank and it could be up to 5 days. I said okay and I told her that I hope her night gets better and that she can find something good to eat, ( I had heard her talking about food earlier). She said thank you sweetheart and I hope you can rest well tonight. Then I remembered that the flight I was looking at was leaving at 4:50 p.m. so I doubled back and asked for a late check out. Check out was already at 12:00 and I asked if I could check out between 1:00 and 2:00. She told me that she could put me down for the shuttle at 1:40 p.m. and she did that for me! 😊
I am from the deep south, Mississippi, and my grandmother told me, "You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar". After reading those reviews, I simply went up there with my Southern Charm and hospitality and won her over, even though I wanted to roll my eyes and tell her where to go with her attitude! Thank God for Jesus being a huge part of my life right now! 🙏🏼💕
Anyway, I think she put me in room 117 which was literally 3 or 4 doors down the hallway on the first floor and was probably one of the best rooms they had, because it was lovely. When I went in there someone had the heater on 77°. I don't do heat, even in the winter. I would rather sleep under three thick blankets. I quickly adjusted the thermostat and then noticed on my phone, that she only charged me the rate of the room and did not put the $100 hold on my account. It costs nothing to be nice to someone. Don't let their mood change yours. Sometimes, you can sprinkle a little of your Sunshine their way!
It was an awesome stay. The water was draining slow in the sink but I didn't give them more stars because of the managers initial attitude and nonchalantness with me and with others! May I add, it was the beginning of her shift because the White lady that greeted me was super sweet. She helped me bring my stuff in the door and she was on her way home. I think the other employee would be cool in a non-professional setting. I could probably hang...
Read moreI can confidently say this is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that cleanliness and maintenance are not priorities for this establishment.
The entryway was absolutely filthy, setting the tone for what was to come. The elevator was disgusting, covered in grime, and appeared as though it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Upon reaching the second floor, we were met with an even worse sight—stained carpets, debris scattered across the hallway, and a strong musty odor that made it clear regular cleaning was nonexistent. To make matters worse, the entire second floor reeked of weed, making it extremely uncomfortable to even walk through to get to our room.
When we finally reached our room and opened the door, we were immediately hit with an ice-cold blast of air. The heat had been completely turned off, and considering it was 18°F outside in the dead of winter, the room was absolutely freezing. There was no way to warm up quickly, making an already terrible experience even worse.
As if the freezing temperatures weren’t bad enough, the room itself was a disaster. The bathroom was unsanitary, with hair on the toilet and visible dirt on the floor. The bed, which should be the cleanest part of any hotel stay, was a nightmare—covered in dirt and stains. It was absolutely disgusting, and there was no way we were going to sleep in that bed. The floors were filthy and clearly neglected, making it painfully obvious that housekeeping had either completely skipped this room or had done the absolute bare minimum. Honestly, my kids could have cleaned this room better.
The only reason we even booked this hotel was for the parking situation, thinking it would be the most convenient option. However, in hindsight, we would have been better off staying anywhere else. In fact, the conditions were so bad that we ended up sleeping in our car rather than subjecting ourselves to this disgusting room. The level of neglect in this hotel is simply unacceptable.
What makes this situation even worse is the management’s apparent indifference. Looking at other reviews, it’s clear that this is a long-standing issue. The manager’s responses are all the same—apologies, empty promises to pass feedback to staff, and yet, no improvements have been made. It’s clear that they are not taking customer concerns seriously, and nothing is actually being done to address the filth, odor, and overall poor conditions.
I strongly urge anyone considering this hotel to look at all the reviews before booking. Trust me—this place is absolutely horrible, and you will regret wasting your money here. I’ve stayed in budget hotels before, but this is beyond unacceptable. It’s not just outdated or worn-down; it is outright unsanitary and unsafe. If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. Avoid...
Read moreWhat in the actual Hll. Found this hidden gem of a nightmare through Park/Sleep/Fly for an overnight stay before an early flight. How bad can it be, its promoted and at the airport... well hold my beer... greeted by an overflowing garbage and ashtray outside the front entrance, enter into a lobby where the walls are chipping with teal paint. Booked a 2 bed room, and called early to tell them we would be arriving late and confirming our reservation, was told they had not entered our reservation (which arrived via fax and sat in a pile with other unsuspecting travelers) and they were sold out of 2 bed rooms. Now they did accommodate by providing 2 rooms with 1 bed each and put us on the 2nd floor (since a guest outside had warned us his room on the first floor had a broken window that would not close and they were unable to move him for some reason). Check-in took 30 minutes (the gentleman at the front desk was really great and should probably work some place nicer). Oh PS the front counter was dusty and sticky - a unique combination of grossness. Since it was late and we needed to get to the airport early we decided to just push through the night and stay... which only enhanced the experience. Take the elevator - with drip stains on the cloudy metal walls, to the 2nd floor and as the doors open - it appears we are in a literal garbage dump. Mattresses, couches, old chairs just piled up ready for the trash. Down the hall there are mattresses just leaning against walls. There is literal garbage on the floors which haven't been vacuumed in months. I should have ran. I blame myself. But no, I think the rooms have a bed, just go to sleep and in 5 hours I'll be out of this hell hole. The rooms reek of lemon cleaner- which actually gave me some relief, but only one light in the entire room worked (although there were 3 or 4). Found the only working plug by unplugging the only working lamp. But thats ok cause there are no curtains to block out the light from the parking lot. The bed literally had a valley - the frame was busted making the biggest dip in a bed possible. Like a bowl... this is a shthole. There is a gas station in the parking lot. The shuttle was fine, and im hoping our car is still there when we return. Oh btw - coffee is served in a Styrofoam cup - Luke warm (how is that possible), they do offer breakfast of (*what is can imagine) as stale off-brand fruitloops in stryofoam bowls with milk out of a creamer carafe. And everything- i mean EVERYTHING is sticky and dusty. Good God. Do better or just make this a crack...
