Let's start with no elevator to get to the second floor, you'll be carrying luggage and down stairs. The rooms were clean and simple. We had double beds. The room was situated on the backside of the hotel which was very hot during the day despite the ac going. No phone in the room. The vent in the bathroom comes on and it's loud. Traditional key and lock. The view out the window was cool. Nothing but a field and the the skies. The lobby was dated. The guest attendant was extremely, unbelievably rude and was caught sneaking into our room and tried to hide it by removing the do not disturb sign and returning it to inside the room in the door knob. She had knocked and I didn't answer because the sign was on there. So, she decided to just open the door up as I stood there in my birthday suit. It was startling, shocking, unnerving, and made me very uncomfortable and upset. She asked if we didn't need anything but I was too caught off guard to even really respond and I nearly slammed the door on her arm. Fortunately for her when she scared me doing that I froze instead. I let her know that I wasn't dressed and that no we didn't need anything. She mentioned smoking being not permitted and that was the first I'd seen or heard either way if it were. She threatened to charge an $150. Having stayed there 3 weeks I made sure to clean that room as if it were my job. The room attendant ended up calling and complaining to my husband's boss. The entire situation was grossly mishandled. There was a slight attempt to redeem from the owner introducing herself to me and was very friendly. She was friendly, would greet me and even asked for a hug when we departed. They never had to wash the sheets And towels because I did that myself. The room attendant said we refused housekeeping. If it was ever offered it was when she asked did we not need anything while I stood there vulnerable and threatened. They added a charge and ultimately padded 225 dollars for charges. Despite the obsessive cleaning I did during the stay and prior to leaving. The attendant had given me dirty looks and was outside the room in view during her shifts every time I came out the room. Including chasing me down the hall once but said nothing. Did it just to look at me with disgust. The feeling was more...
Read moreThere is not much to choose from in Sabetha, but the outer appearances of Rock Creek are deceiving. This place has seen better days. The rooms are dark. Some of the vintage lamps wouldn't even turn on. The bed is so soft you sink about a foot. The linens are very old, and they don't seem clean and certainly not crisp. The bathroom was very tiny. The whole toilet moves if you bumped it. It is surprising that it does not leak. Security is TERRIBLE! The room door hardware is 1950s bathroom vintage with a push button lock with a key entry. The entire facility is open to anyone by the back door. The lady that checked us in said we could park down near our room and come in the back door "because it is open 24 hours". WOW! Free breakfast is an incredible overstatement. What was offered was coffee, white or white toast, OJ, Frosted Flakes or Raisin Bran. That's all!! Who knows how long the cereal has been in...

The woman who answered said she was getting ready to go to bed for the night and she didn't know if they had any rooms left. ( The parking lot had 3 cars)||We were able to get two rooms. The air had been shut off in both rooms and it was HOT!, This was in August.||The room was dirty and the upkeep was terrible.||Breakfast consisted of a bowl of bananas and a bowl of granola bars.||As we were leaving the woman we spoke to on the phone came chasing us out to our car saying she needed to get our credit card number again.||SO unprofessional!||We have stayed here several times over 20 years and we will...
