We originally reserved about 6 months out; I called and spoke to someone and we did everything over the phone. Then I called back a month before we were headed that way and found that our spot had been given to a long-term resident. So I explained we were in a 25ft hybrid travel trailer with dual slides; so they arranged for us to be in another spot. Now, this whole time I'm asking them to make sure there is a picnic table at the spot. We checked in on Jan 17 2017 and i asked about the picnic table; then we drove around to site 141. It was an extremely tight spot to get into, but once there we fit fine with a 25ft hybrid travel trailer and our 2500 Truck. No picnic table. So at 230pm we rode our bikes up to the office and inquired about the picnic table. I was told we would have one brought over or if another site close to us was vacant, we could swipe their table. Well, every site around us was booked solid with residentials. So at 330pm I went back up the office, new girls there, and inquired once again about the picnic table; this was the first time they had heard about it; so they wrote up a work order and said that the maintenance people leave at 4pm but we'd have one tomorrow. On the 18th we headed to Kennedy Space Center and we we got back around 3pm, there was our picnic table. New, clean, painted one. So communication is not their strong point. We checked out on Jan 21 2017 and came back home. Yes this is a fish camp that they are trying to convert to more of an RV park type atmosphere; but all-in-all, we like the place. The regulars stopped by and chatted with us and every time we rode our bikes around, everyone waved and said "hi". My husband's only disappointment was they had a sign for soft-serve ice cream and we found out the machine was broke. Would we stay there again? Probably so. Close to Gatorland, Kennedy Space Center, and we found the Walmart only 2.5 mi away. The electric connection was good and we had great water pressure (smelled like chlorine though, they treat their own water). Airboats ran up until 10pm and the park is in the flight path of the airport; so we heard planes overhead constantly, but was easy to get use to the noise. Very wooded, we saw ducks, gators, snails & turtles.

This park could be a good one if the management cared a whit about the customer's experience. No signage - when you arrive you have no idea where to go. The only thing on the office is the street number, not even "register here" or "welcome campers." There are no site numbers on the street in front of the sites so you have to stop, look at the utility post, get back in, keep searching. Lawn was mowed but they left gobs of the cut grass. There was no picnic table on my site - I asked for one and was told they were full and there were no spare tables. Actually there is one right across from my site but I can't move it by myself so I used my own table. The TV cable was lying in the dirt with no connector on it - I asked if someone could put an F connector on the coax and was told the cable isn't very good anyway. On the plus side the WIFI is great. My site (52) is spacious and nice with pavers. The pool, really the only amenity, is basically at air temperature - mid-90's - and this is only July 4 - still have 2 1/2 months of summer and it's over 95 every day. At some point they could cook food in it. All in all they could make it nice easily, but someone would have to give a damn. This is not a cheap park - in the $90 a day range. Put up signs, number the sites, get the cable working, clean up after you mow - it is mostly simple maintenance that is lacking.

Took a chance after reading mixed-reviews and glad we did! Had a wonderful 5 night stay in a pull through site in our 5th wheel The pull through sites are spacious and have new paver stones/patio. Most are shaded with beautiful live oaks. The campground included a nice-sized pool and paved deck area. Lots of chairs and very clean. Plenty of ponds for fishing on the property and places to walk/bicycle. There were also tennis courts and a dog park plus airboat rides available at the park entrance. Despite other reviews, we did not have a problem navigating to our site even with the windy roads and curbing. Just takes a little patience. The back in sites were definitely tighter and I can see why they would be less desirable (year round residents). Worth the extra $ to get a pull through. The pool water was warm but still refreshing on a 100 degree day. Everyone, from the office to residents to fellow guests, were friendly. Only challenges we encountered included locating the office (need signage) and identifying our site (site number was only found on the utility posts). Not a big deal. Overall, great campground, central location to Lake Nona and Kissimmee, and we are looking forward to our return visit!

Not a happy camper!! So let me start on January 15 th, which was a Saturday, when we first pulled in....at the time there was no one in the office on weekends, therefore if you didn't know where your spot was, you searched for it. When we found the spot, there was no way at all a 36' motorhome with two slide outs was fitting in the spot. Just getting to the spot was difficult for us...it was way in back. So now we can't fit in spot and there was no one to contact to find out what to do. No one answered the phone either. So we drive back towards front of grounds and pull into a spot (80). Now this spot was nice and large, but this area was also where all the improvement work was coming out of and being done. Anyway on Monday my husband goes to office and explains what happened. They quickly fixed the situation and allowed us to stay in spot 80 for the next two months @ $700 a month. During the week, up to about 5pm, it was noisy as work was being done. We chose the spot, so we dealt with it. There were evenings here and there that people, workers? came and dumped things in the big dumpster and woke us up. Again we didn't complain, etc. Now when we booked, it stated on the website the pool would be open in February...as of today, no pool. So now there really isn't much to do...around the lake entrance was being worked on. But again, we were ok, we were comfortable in our spot. So we decided to stay another two weeks from 3/15 to 4/1...now we had been there two months and paid $700 a month & 💡 c on time....on the 15th I noticed over $800 taken out of my bank account, so my husband goes to check it out...they told us it was for the next two weeks....are you kidding me?? Most campgrounds give you a break if you want to extend your time a week or two. But this place with nothing to do, no pool, no activities, the worse mail service ever is going to charge us $800 for two weeks. So now two handicapped people had to get everything closed up and put away so that we could pull out because they would not budge on offering the two weeks at a reduced price. We sat in a Walmart parking lot last night, during tornados to find another place to go. I had planned to return to this campgrounds once they completed renovations...

2/10/2022 update. Park looks way cleaner, trees have been trimmed, some of the available sites have new concrete slabs, because they were a tripping hazard. A few of the cabins have been remodeled. Better garbage dumpster and a cardboard recycling bin. They are still working on the pool and nearby eating/drinking area and paving a lot of sites by the pool area. They have cleaned all 3 lakes inside the park and now it is joyful to watch the ducks, turtles, alligators, and birds. As stated before, this park is beautiful. On the negative side: water outages, whether for scheduled work or not, continue to happen without any notice, not allowing people to prepare, fill up the tank and make any other preparations needed. Even if it is due to an accidental strike on the pipes, pipes burst, an email to everyone should be sent immediately informing the reason there is no water, along with an estimated time of repair. For scheduled maintenance, emails should be sent as well. So if you don't mind staying in a place that would cut your water without notice, hopefully not when you are in the shower, this is the place to come.

9/29/2021 update. Park was officially sold a week ago and there is a lot of reno going on. Pool, cabins, water lines, roads, etc, etc, etc. Place is flooded w workers. This is awesome!!

Aug. 2021. I am a resident now... there is zero amenities. This park is "nature wise amazing"... have not seen any other park w the possibilities to become "the RV park" in the area. Has a little marina, boat ramp, little souvenir store.... but if someone w a set brain and money out there would see this park, would turn it into anything they wanted. This park is unique, has a natural canopy to envy. With historical oak trees and wild life .... i walk it every day and it doesn't get old. If someone would give it the attention it needs, it is limitless.... Even having NO amenities, i love it.... The 3 star rating is because i am paying for a resort (which includes amenities) but in reality...
