This is a hidden gem just south of Tampa in the little town of Ruskin FL. We had a month long stay here. Sites are decent sized and well spaced. Park is quiet except for the train that runs nearby. Nestled right along the river, it has great possibilities to see local wildlife. There is a park right next door to see tortoises in the wild, too! Mail was easy to get here. Bathroom & Laundry room are clean! Nearby skyway bridge makes only a 35 minute drive to head over to St Pete Beach or just south 40 minutes and arrive at Anna Maria Island. Only 40 minutes to the Tampa fairgrounds. Just an hour from Mote aquarium. Neighbors are quiet and pleasant. No drama. We will be back next winter.

We have a little place in Ruskin at the Tampa South Rv Resort and we thoroughly enjoy ourselves when we are able to get away for a short stay! They have a wonderful setting that is kept very clean and organized and their pool is always sparkling clean, with the perfect temperature! We love that we can keep our boat there and dock it right where we can see it from our little river cottage. Ruskin is a sleeper town and in the middle of so many wonderful large surrounding towns but it’s always nice to go back home to the quaint quiet peaceful setting of this little place, after you’re done having fun in the big city.

What a nice little RV park. This is a beautiful little park right along the river! Staff is friendly and easy to work with. Pool is nice. Clubhouse is well kept and laundry and showers are well maintained. Just 35 minutes using the skyway bridge to St Pete or head over to AnnaMaria beaches. Tampa is just 45 minutes north of here. You can't beat being right on the river. GORGEOUS views right at the campground. We look forward to coming back next winter. Thanks for a GREAT stay!

Contrary to a recent disgruntled review, I felt compelled to comment on some opinions. All businesses change rules from time to time but it is with the intention of making things better for everyone. Re: USPS forwarding claims: Mail should be sent return to sender (which is proper regulations, it's not the parks responsibility to forward mail to new address) but per the resident's request since they still lived nearby, any delivered mail was still sorted into their box for pickup. This was done as a courtesy but apparently not good enough. Also, mail is not left unsecured in the clubhouse because "I" help make sure (even on Saturday's) to securely lock it in the office. There are security cameras in the clubhouse and we have not had issues with accessibility. The park hours under the prior management were only open 3 hours during 1/2 the year and that was never a problem before so why is it suddenly a problem now?

Bottom line is some people are just not satisfied no matter what you do. My family enjoys living at Tampa South RV Resort and the new management has done a lot to clean up the park and continually make improvements for everyone's enjoyment. I would recommend TSRV to stay for whatever...

What a hidden gem! We picked this place despite the mixed reviews on the web as we were visiting the Florida Railway Museum.

Made reservations well in advance and they knew we were rolling it with a travel trailer. Saw a mix of full timers, snowbirds and travel trailers. Lots of fresh paint on the buildings, someone has put a lot of work into the facility.

Friendly staff, clean grounds and real friendly campers. The park is small and everyone seemed to know each other. Lots of activities and a great breakfast on Saturday AM. Make sure you go across 41 to Morgan's and get the best Strawberry Shortcake or milkshake that you have ever had. When we rolled in, everyone told us we had to go there.

This is a place you would probably pass by on 41 and not give it a second look as you head off to your standard place. But I will say that you are missing out.

We are FL locals, not snowbirds and are already mapping out our...

Okay, first the good.||1. Pretty location on The Little Manatee River.||2. Clean||3. Excellent laundry||4. Pool pleasant||Now the not so good.||1. Lots of not so friendly residents||2. No-see-ums. Never knew what they were until this park. Got 40+ bites on my face!||3. Sewage type odor as you walk to laundromat. Unsure why.||4. Not dog-friendly. Ours were grandfathered in but we got dirty looks, and had to take them to area away from our trailer by the main road, which was quite tricky at night.||5. Sites are very small. No privacy or much space for outdoor living.||6. Restaurants in area are few and some have short hours; it's not in a great location for doing anything other than being on the river.||After the previous site we'd been at for a month, this was heavenly (the other one was dreadful), but this probably isn't the best place for either a relaxing vacation or for...
