It is the Best park in Salisbury NC I'VE EVER BEEN TO it's a FAMILY AND kid friendly park that park has a Petting Barnyard with a Donkey and sheep and goats and a pig and chickens and peafowls and pheasants and turkeys and historic farming equipment and wildlife adventures zoo with species native to North Carolina with Bears and Eagles and Foxes and Racoons and Wolves and Bobcats and Groundhogs and Owls and Falcons and Hawks and Crows and Vultures and Aligators and Deer and Squirels and Turtles and Birds and Larks and In the Nature Center they have Snakes and a Fish Tank with fish and walking stick insects and Hellbender and turtles the Animals are Very well taken care of and cleaned and well fed everyday and cool rides such as paddle boats and a Carousel and a Mini Train Ride and a splash pad and gold mining and campground and clean restrooms around the park some dated and some newer and consession stands are Nice Has plenty of food to eat and cool playgrounds for kids to play on and mini golf to play and Has a Lake with Fishing Spots and Has Ducks and Geese and Cranes and Swans Fishes and Turtles and ice cream and cool tennis courts and has a Open Field for Baseball and Soccer and kites and all kinds of things and Horshoe Pits and Volleyball and Has A Nice Campground with a Bath House with Warm Showers and Has Beautiful Cabins It's a huge park A+ don't forget to like that place. I absolutely love this place! One of my favorite parks in the area! Especially during off peak times, the park is very serene. I enjoy feeding the plethora of ducks and geese. If you are relaxed and give them time, they will eat from your hand. Fishing is decent if you like catfish.

The trails are perfect to get a quick hike in on. Nothing strenuous at all, but you still feel like you are away from a park.

The playground is a huge hit for the young ones. The train and merry-go-round are a hit for all ages!

The campground is decent and nicely shaded for the most part. I haven't stayed there so I can't say much about that.

There is an abundance of shelters for groups to plan events. Parking around them can be a little sketchy at times, especially on very busy weekend days.

If you have scouts in your family, they have a good scouting area that requires reservations.

The zoo area is neat and the bald eagle exhibit is my favorite "attraction" so to speak.

There is a splash pad there as well so the kids can run around, cooling off in this crazy heat. Or anyone for that matter.

Now, my only complaint..... There is trash everywhere. Clearly park visitors don't practice "leave no trace" as there is ample evidence of this. To be fair, I have seen many a critter inside of trash cans rooting around and emptying trash on the ground. Maybe I'll be charitable and blame the trash squarely on the squirrels. But, it needs to be picked up daily. I know staffing can be an issue, but at a minimum, the trash cans should be emptied first thing every morning. While there, do your part and make sure you put the trashcan lids on tightly so the squirrels can't get in and cause havoc. Other than this, the park is awesome.
