At first, this place seemed decent, but then came Monday. Most of the days were filled with loud noises from tree cutting and jack hammering from the street workers. Then there is also the highway right next to you, and that can get pretty loud as well. Then, along with all that, there was a couple that were staying there days on end drinking and fighting with their two dogs pooping at everyone's sites. (Thought there was a leash rule?) They also burned all their trash the whole time all day and night, including plastic, which was horrible smelling and made the entire campground a smoke hole. The place is also all dirt and lots of wind, so expect everything, including you, to be dirty the whole time, for there are no showers available here. There is also no electricity and very random water piks. My site was covered in litter, including broken glass, bottle caps, cigarette butts and so on. Rarely do you see the camp hosts checking the grounds. There was what I thought was a hiking trail, but that's a bit of a joke, for it is a short trail to neighboring Foster Park Campground. This trail is also a dangerous mess, and you can see that in the photos I posted. For the cost to stay here, I'd say go to the other campground next door that's called just Foster Park, not this one. Also, know there are a ton of mosquitoes and flies in this area. It's truly out of control. Additionally, bring your own wood for camp host does not supply it on site. Trust me, you'll need that wood to make fires to help from getting bitten so much.

I love camping and I wish I could give more stars. It was convenient because we were going to a national seed convention at the fairgrounds. I did not know the road this campground was on was so busy. All day and all night, people racing up and down the hill. If road noise doesn't bother you then this would be an ok area. The bathroom was ok, except where someone lit the toilet paper dispenser on fire. Due to that there was heavy smoke damage. Oh and on the last day some upstanding citizen of the area decided to leave his mark on the bathroom wall. Very classy. Also, it seems this bathroom is a common stop for commuters. There were also spiders, not just a few, a ton of spiders. I get that they were there first and all that but if you stay more than a few nights just be ready for some heavy cleaning. There was also a camper in space 8 that had definitely been there for quite a while. They were very well established and appeared to be permanent residents. I thought there was a limit on how long you can stay in one place? Unfortunately I will not be back and I would only recommend staying here if you are passing thru for the night. Definitely not worth the money to stay longer.

We used to camp here with a lot of kids because it is easily accessible from LA and there are almost no mountain roads. There is a recreation area nearby where we could play in the river, but when we went on July 14th 2023, the recreation area on the other side of the river was under construction and closed, so we could not play in the river. Also, the men's restroom is broken, and from the cleaning inspection form, it appears that it has been broken since about May. Sites on the side near the road should definitely be avoided because of the noise of cars.
