Absolutely the WORST hotel experience I have ever had. We frequently stay at Hilton owned properties because you can count on a quality experience. Not at this location. When we arrived they could not find our reservation and the manager, Zain, told my husband they had no rooms available. After I pulled up their available rooms on my Hilton app he conceded that they did have rooms available, but only with jacuzzi tubs and that they were $240 a night (more than twice what our original reservation was for and $50 more than I was showing on the app). Because it was already late and we had my 7 year old with us I booked the room through the app and Zain for us checked in. After we got to the room and settled I decided to try the jacuzzi tub, since we were paying so much extra for it. The water would not stay in, the plug was missing. I went to the front desk to ask for help and Zain told me the house keeping mist have misplaced the plug and he would "send her down to look at it" gesturing to the woman to had just left the front desk to help another guest who's shower would not work. We waited and waited but she never came, I finally gave up and went to sleep after midnight. The next morning I tried again but my trip to the front desk was pointless as no one was there, even after a wait, and I ended up calling from my room. This time I spoke to a woman (I believe her name was Danielle) who changed to story to tell me they had just reopened our room and the maintenance man had just fixed the jacuzzi the night before and must not have had all the pieces. Then she flip-flopped between telling me she would go out today and see if she could find the pieces and that the maintenance man was coming back today to bring them. Ultimately she promised me she would have a solution by noon. I asked why the pool was closed when the website and app said that it was open but might have adjusted hours, she told me the health department closed it down the week before but that "the website does not say our pool is open and you can come down to the front desk and I will show you proof!" I let her know that I was not happy paying full price for a "jacuzzi room" that did not have a useable jacuzzi. She responded "if you're not happy paying you can check out and I'll just rent your room to someone else." with a snotty attitude. We did not leave our room until 2pm that day and no one ever came to check the jacuzzi or bring parts. We returned before 5pm and there was still no plug for the jacuzzi. We were unable to use the jacuzzi tub our entire stay. This was a work trip for my husband but decided to come with him and bring our son because it was his spring break and he was so excited to go swimming. When we realized the pool was closed he was resigned to have some fun in the jacuzzi but that was ruined too. The staff blew off all our concerns and were not helpful at all. This is not even mentioning how badly the room was in disrepair, the fact that the side door nearest our room didn't recognize the key cards (the front desk person's response to that was to walk around to the front), the huge water flood in the hallway, and the fact that no one was following the CDC guidelines and posted signage about requires masks. A horrible stay overall, I will be contacting corporate...
Read moreWalking into the room, the a.c. was running but set at 71°, the room seemed incredibly humid and very much smelled like a kennel (humid enough that when we turned it up, planning to be gone for the day, the bed linens felt damp getting back that evening) Once cut down to at least 69, it was significantly better but quite chilly. We had a king room that was mostly clean, crumpled paper left on the closet shelf and a haven for allergies with vents that were obviously neglected, as was the giant water stain on the ceiling. If you could get the bed level, it was more comfortable than most of the low-mid range Hilton brand hotels but this particular room the head of the bed seemed to have no support and would drop almost immediately after laying down. Husband tried to re-adjust the mattress, but the next morning, our feet were once again higher than our heads. We did have a short chat w management regarding the lack of hot water in the shower, but the idea behind tepid showers was that some of the guests have issues and complaints that the water is too hot. It was our understanding that management opted not to remind them that shower Temps are adjustable in that manner but don't recognize that once you turn the water heater down, we can't actually adjust to get it warmer and are therefore stuck with cold or tepid showers- Not great after a long day/long drive and Def not the comforts of home suggested. The biggest reason this hotel was chosen was for the indoor pool since all the outdoor ones were seasonal. Unfortunately, theirs is not heated and quite chilly. The handicap assist was covered in rust. I did not think to try it before leaving but judging by the lack of upkeep of the adjoining patio and the lack of concern put in the cloudy water, appearance, and organization in mantaining the overall pool area, I would question the functionality. As far as the spa the hotel site/pictures show, there is none. It is completely filled in. We had no issues with our hotel keys or getting where needed to go, but this hotel does not offer a digital key, which was disappointing. Breakfast was free and manageable. Every day consisted of eggs, sausage (only the links were worth trying), cereal, biscuits, and very thinned out gravy, potatoes, fruit, and toast/bagel opt. Staff was well mannered and pleasant, and we had no issue getting extra pillows and towels when requested . One of the biggest things this Hampton Inn had going for it is its proximity...
Read moreThe person who checked us in was not super friendly. Later when one of our keys wasn't working she acted very annoyed with us for asking for a replacement, and when she said she'd need to replace both keys she was very condescending in explaining why, as if we were stupid and should have already known. When we had another key issue the following day someone else was working, and they at least smiled and weren't rude about it. There is no hot tub here. We were told the pool is heated but it was freezing cold, and I watched a bug crawl across the deck and get into the water so we decided not to utilize it. Other than the pool area, the hotel and room were clean enough. There was no fan in the bathroom, so dispelling steam during and after a shower was difficult. It was also VERY hard figuring out how to turn on the shower. I could not get it, but my friend finally got it to turn out, though neither of us could explain to anyone how to do it - basically keep jiggling and yanking the handle back and forth and at some point it turns on. The couch in the room was not quite long enough to stretch out on without having to scrunch up your legs. It was uncomfortable to sit on, but sleeping on it wasn't bad. The king sized bed was comfortable. The freezer in the mini fridge had a tray under it that was full of water and spilled all over everything in the fridge. The armchair in the room was functional but nothing special. The TV in the room worked well. There was no 'do not disturb' sign in our room, nor was there room service or even a listing of locals places/food like I've seen in every other hotels. The breakfast was decent with yogurt, bagels, toast, hard boiled eggs, a waffle maker, oatmeal, hot chocolate, juice, bananas, apples, and oranges, tea, coffee, and hot items switching from day to day - eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage. I was not impressed with this hotel. The breakfast was the only redeeming quality. If you stay here you will most likely be disappointed at well - this is not worth the...
