Bed BugsDO NOT STAY HERE! My wife and I with our kids rented a room for a week. Price was decent. The room was okay at first glance. First red flag was the big, pink, crusty stain on one of the blankets. They replaced it. We then did a quick inspection and sanitizing of both beds and whole room. Everything was filthy. We were told to use the costly guest laundry for our bedding. The first night my wife woke up itching so bad she couldn't sleep. The next morning she had 15-20 obviously bed bug bites just on her legs. Our daughter also had bites on her legs and feet. The owner told is we were lying and there was nothing she could do. No refund, no room switch, nothing. We didn't want to lose our money so we attempted to get rid of them ourselves. We stripped the beds to find the mattresses covered in dead bed bugs, crumbs, hair, and multiple yellow stains each. We sanitized with alcohol, lysol, and chemical insecticides. We didn't want to lose almost $400. It didn't work. My daughter had bites all over her the next morning. Her face, neck, chest, legs and feet were covered. We even took her to the office to show the owner. She informed us that it wasn't her problem. Also there is no housekeeping service. There are large gaps between the entry door and door frame, which allows bugs, heat, and noise to freely come in your room. Loud noise all night long and pretty sketchy people. Only giving 1 star because I...
Read moreWe asked for a smoking room with one bed, and even though the entire place was completely vacant except for one other occupied room (adjacent to ours), they said the one they assigned to us was "the only smoking room available". We entered the room to find that it had two small separate beds instead of one like we requested. Upon further inspection, we noticed that the island countertop area with the stove eyes on it did not work at all, and we finally decided to go back to the main office and suggest another room once we had turned on the TV to find that the navigation buttons to control it on the side were apparently stuck, so it was unfortunately stuck on the Telemundo (all Spanish-speaking only) channel, and the volume was stuck on its maximum limit of 100, which was outrageously loud. After trying to change the channel with the remote, as well as trying to get the volume to an acceptable level, it only worked for a second, then the vine shot right back up to 100 every single time! We just HAD TO request a different room, which they agreed to, after making us wait in the first one for approximately 45 minutes. The only good thing about this place was that it was cheap ($60/night), but I guess you really get what you pay for! [ 2 out...
Read moreSo I've never actually left hotel after checking in, but this one too the cake. The long term residents with the cat seemed nice, as were the maid staff.
So the top of the stairs, I was greeted by a toilet, no worries it happens, clearly it had been there a while, but these things happen.
I entered my room, and it was in first glances fine, dated, but motel good enough. Then I found the broken glass on my bed, and the dirtiest phone I've ever seen.
The fixtures where literally not connected to the wall. And in addition to the glad we had that overwhelming odor of cigarettes.
Maid service tried to make it better, but allergies made it untenable, and I had to go. On my way out the owner let me know that since I had been there an hour she was going to charge me the whole night.
So all in all, just stay at the motel 6,...
