We have stayed at the Cavasson Hilton about 6 or 7 times in the past year. ||To begin, the building is terrific. The architect and the interior designer knocked it out of the park. It feels great. The lobby spaces, the restaurant/bar, and the mini resort pool are perfect. The rooms are very comfortable and well-appointed with ample storage space and comfortable bathrooms, only downside with the rooms is poor bathroom lighting and terrible water pressure.||The front desk staff and the valet/bell staff are great. ALWAYS friendly, cheerful and very responsive to guests. ||The Desert Pony Tavern has surprisingly very good food. The menu is interesting and everything we have tried is delicious. Service is fairly quick at breakfast time, food takes a little too long at lunch and dinner, not terrible but don't expect a quick bite. The hostess, Lisa is very unpleasant, which is not a great first impression. Some of the bartenders are friendly some are not. We have had several good experiences with the server, Michael. ||For some inexplicable reason on many nights when we are in house, they have entertainers who bring amplifiers so there is really loud music reverberating through the lobby. We like to stop for a night cap before returning to our room, but you can't enjoy your drink and chit chat. I don't get it. Only people we see sitting near the entertainers are folks who are "with the band". Anyway, we have discovered the sports bar next door for the nights the entertainers are there||Housekeeping is a DISASTER. Over the course of our various stays we have had days when our housekeeping consisted of clean towels, and opened curtains, that's it, bed is untouched. We have had some days when you come back in the late afternoon, and housekeeping hasn't been there, and we have to call to get the room cleaned. I am pretty sure that the bathroom has never actually been cleaned during our stays, other than fresh towels, during our last stay, I purposely left a small piece of trash in the shower which remained there unmoved our entire stay.||During our most recent stay, we left our room at 10:45, and returned at 5:00 pm and our room had not been cleaned. We called and asked for the room to be cleaned, when the housekeeper arrived, she was HOSTILE. Told us it was our fault because when she walked by in the morning the do not disturb sign was on the door, and it is our responsibility to call and ask for service after she has already walked by our room (how are we to know that she had already walked by our room?) There were 2 housekeeping carts on the floor when we left. Then she said that we were rude for calling for service so late in the day. This type of attitude is absolutely unacceptable. Over the course of the past year, the housekeeping department has been spotty at best.||On one of our most recent stays, we booked a "Patio" room which is a substantial price increase from a regular king room. It is a TERRIBLE room type. I am shocked that they keep these rooms in inventory, let alone charge a premium for them. They are ground floor rooms. which are below street level passed the sales office and gym, before you get to the employee entrance. They are dark, and have cold white tile flooring, not a scrap of carpet. Since the rooms are below street level you look out on the tires of the cars whizzing past you, and pedestrians look down into your room. The street is about 10 feet from the patio which means there is street residue on the patio, and who is going to sit there and watch tires anyway. Worst of all, is of course the street noise ALL NIGHT LONG. If you look closely at the photo on the website, you will notice the street, but of course there are no cars in the photo. If this is the only room type available, stay somewhere else, and whatever you do, do not pay a premium for the terrible patio room.||I find this hotel so frustrating because it should be a slam dunk 5 stars, but the unfriendly DP staff members and the consistently very poor housekeeping experience negatively impacts the guest experience.||We will continue to stay at the hotel, as it is our best option when we are in town. We will see if there is...

Don't worry, we will never stay at your hotel again or support anyone else taking the risk. Disputed the hotel stay with credit card company and contacted multiple people in the Hilton Corporate office to receive a refund because no reason to be charged for appalling treatment, an extremely dirty and unsanitary room causing medical issues for my family. Spoke with the Interim General Manager of this hotel in the process and he seemed professional but then someone at the hotel removed the pending refund and the GM appeared to doubt my experience was possible because I could not remember the name of specific employees. Please do a better and more thorough job of cleaning the rooms after pets have stayed in them to prevent future patrons from suffering the way we did.
Original Review: Stay far away from this hotel if you have asthma, allergies, value a clean room and don't enjoy being treated like your health and safety does not matter! Terrible stay in late July 2025 with the hotel management demonstrating no concern for my or my families health or safety, as we could barely breathe for 2 days because the room was beyond dirty, had clearly not been cleaned after animals had stayed in the room, the shower had black mold, dust was caked onto the bed and created constant asthma attacks for myself and my significant other. Expected great things out of this property, having stayed at several Hilton properties over the year, being Hilton Honors members made no difference and we have never experienced such poor and inhumane treatment, as at the Hilton North Scottsdale at Cavasson. We even at one point contacted "guest services" and asked them to clean our room because we were having asthma attacks and they did a terrible job. We took many pictures of the room, including the couch, bedboard of the bed and the shower after they "cleaned it", looked disgusting and no improvement in the air or cleanliness. The management of this hotel cares so little for customers like us and what happened to us as a result of their negligence that they did not offer to move us, gave us no discount and the front desk staff said they were totally unaware. We will be using all necessary resources to report what occured at this Hilton, share our terrible experience with people in Scottsdale and recooperare our money, as this was not even close to minimal standards of care, hospitality or health for any hotel...
Read moreThis hotel is overall not worth what you pay. Most of the photos you see that are provided here are not accurate. There are not many good views at this hotel unless you a high room facing North. I would say the lobby space was indeed nice and I enjoyed the restaurant. The drinks and food are outrageously priced though. The check in process was very slow and nothing was really explained to us. We were checked in by a middle aged woman (not sure her name). She didn't mention anything about my diamond status which I don't really care too much about, but she never explained the F&B credit and any other benefits until I asked her about them. Very strangely, she mentioned various events and amenities to the property that were all on days we weren't actually staying there which left us a little confused and dissappointed. I asked if there were any upgradable rooms as I was using points and having my family stay in another room as well for the weekend. She said she has some facing the West, but not the North side which is usually favored. Instead of at least giving me the West view, or a balcony room or any other room that was still available in the app after I checked, she gave me a room with a view overlooking the garage. When I showed her an email later about my room being upgraded for my upcoming stay, she said that I said I didn't want the upgrade........? She was overall a very strange, argumentative woman that wasn't happy or friendly to have us there for whatever reason. The man at check in that helped me later on was very nice and helpful.
They have a super nice patio/terrace on the top floor, but it is CLOSED to hotel guests. Even if nobody is using in for an event. If you see the outside terrace in the photos for the hotel with views and a bar outside with a bunch of outside seating, you will not get to it as I tried and it was indeed locked. So probably the highlight part of the hotel you will not have access to just as a forwarning. Also, the pool bar is not open as suggested in the photos as well. The bar is completely closed off to the outside and indoors. Nobody takes orders outside either so you have to dry off or walk in wet to order anything. This could be a top tier hotel for the area, but very simple policies of the hotel and attitudes from everyone there were big turnoffs. I was looking for a better than usual stay for myself and my family on a weekend away and used many points for it, but in no way would I do it again. There are a ton of other Hilton properties...
