Lake Grassy Inn & Suites — Hotel in Sebring

This inn was our first stop on our road trip through Florida. It was a great find. All of the rooms are on the street level, so you don't have to deal with any stairs. And you drive right up to your room, so you don't have to carry your bags but a few feet. ||||The rooms are set up so that you could stay and relax for days if you'd like. There is a kitchen area in each room, complete with all you need for simple cooking. ||||Every room looks out to the lake and it's so peaceful. We enjoyed propping our door open and enjoying a cool breeze. There's a little table and chairs in the room, so we got some food at the grocery store and ate in our room. ||||The bathrooms are upgraded, even though the inn is a bit dated. But because it's not new construction, you have those wonderful thick walls between rooms so there are no loud noises to keep you from getting a good night sleep. The beds and bedding are top notch. We were exhausted from a long day of traveling, and had a very good night's sleep here. ||||There is very little road noise from the highway in front of the inn. ||||We'd gladly stay here again. Very nice location, awesome view with the lake right there. The outside is well kept and looks clean. Unfortunately, when entering our room, there was an unpleasant smell and it was not very clean. The room itself is nice and the bathroom was big with a great tub… There was half of a lime left next to the mini fridge from the people before us, hair all over the bed sheets underneath the top sheet, and dirt, grime, and dust on the bathroom door. The biggest issue for me was the smell. It eventually started to smell like urine as well. We had our dogs with us which we were unaware of the extra fees for each dog a night which was very expensive. They were the closest option for us that was pet friendly, so we didn’t really have much of a choice to go elsewhere. If they took a little more time and cleaned the room with nice smelling disinfectant/fragrances and took the time to strip the sheets… it would have been a much better experience. They need newer bedding, curtains, and bath towels. Not a great feeling to sleep somewhere that smells gross, makes the entire place feel dirty. Place has amazing...

I stayed there 2 nights and I felt in love with this place. The owner was very professional, friendly and understanding and attentive to all our needs. The place may not be a 5 star luxury hotel but it has all you need to spend a great time including a Full kitchen and spacious bath, The water is right in front of your back door and it has a roof on the back with a picnic bench and grill. so imaginen how amazing is the sunset and sundown there. The view of the lake is wonderful and the pier to fish is pretty good to. I enjoy the relaxing setting with grassy area as much as my dog did. The room was very spacious and with tiled floors and yes it has internet. Well We had such a great time that we reserve 3 more night for this long weekend coming up just to get away from the madness of a big city and No I was not ask for a great review matter fact I never write reviews but I was so happy with this place I had to.
