Hello readers,
Let me say, that I'm an out of state person visiting Tennessee. First time, being here and wonderful city.
Now, moving forward with the review. The place looks amazing outside and could be better inside (some areas depending what section you look).
My partner and I went to get checked in. Very kind gentlemen (not sure his name but should be Payton); not the other guy who is skinner (was not kind at all) went to make sure we got our room since the 3rd party service did not confirm the room we booked. Payton went out of his way to get our room after driving several hours. As we head to the room nearing the door there was either mosquitos or fruit flies flying everywhere and still won't go away even during review. I was concerned and tried to get in the room before they got inside. We get to our room very nice and modern looking.( Present pictures when I get a chance. ) Not too shabby for the price of roughly $130 not including taxes either. Weekends are more roughly $150 not including taxes either. Since you get the pool, breakfast (but is only from 6 am to 9 am! Which is less time than McDonald's and/or anywhere in general) I'm on vacation I don't want to wake up that early.
First night, was good but this is where it slipped a bit for my review. I noticed, after going on activities and coming back very late. The only thing in mind was to relax and lay down on a clean bed and shower with clean towels. I got none of that: no new sheets or covers for the beds we slept in. They were still wet from showering the day before. I tried to call front desk but noticed when I picked up the phone that it does not work. I even unplugged and plugged the phone again to reset but nothing worked nor turned on either. I was fustrated but my partner told me that it's okay maybe the next day they'll clean up (that backed fired bad).
The next day I put the sheets and towels on the FLOOR to clearly noticed them to be changed. Guess what happened everyone?! You guessed it, nothing but folded wet towels and laid the same bed sheet on the beds. I was furious and contacted front desk from my personal phone since the one in the room was not working either. Front desk was the person who helped out the day we got here. He apologized and let me know couple of things I was not aware the moment we signed the paperwork nor when we were checking in.
Now, people when you book here during these times 2021 under their policy they claim that because of covid and another virus called delta virus they cannot change anything unless you request to the front desk. I asked then why did they "touched" the sheets, paper and towel etc back without cleansed?! I even asked the cleaning lady before I left PLEASE change and one of them spoke Spanish which I asked PORFAVOR!
I understand for health concerns but if they were then why have people roam around with no masks nor not 6 feet apart during breakfast?! Makes me wonder sometimes about these health policy's in each state.
I got a day extended but I'll consider twice before...
Read moreReserved room for Friday night with KS bed. Called while enroute on Thursday to see if same room would be available for Thursday (with KS bed) as we were running ahead of schedule and was told “yes it was”. Told them we would arrive late but would be there. Asked them to hold room, since already had credit card info. They called us about 1015 pm asking if we’re coming and we advised yes, would be here around 11pm.
Upon our arrival someone was in front of us. The clerk was looking at the screen and after about 10 minutes told guest he had a room. After waiting on him, we approached and was informed “we are getting your room ready. It will be about 10-15 minutes” so we waiting. When he rang up the room, the price for Thursday was correct, but the price we had been quoted when reserving the room for Friday was about $30.00 HIGHER. When we mentioned this to the clerk, he stated it was “automatically generated when entering the room” even though my wife explained to him THREE times it was NOT the price we had been quoted. (We had a medical discount price due to her job as a nurse and my police) Upon getting to the room, it was two QUEEN SIZE beds, NOT KS as we had asked for and was told was available. We went to the desk and told the clerk about the issue. He said that was all he had available and NEVER apologized for telling us he HAD the King Size available! We were tired from driving 10 hours so we took it.
The room to the door squeaked LOUDLY as well as the door to the bathroom when they were opening or closing. The EXIT sign by the elevator was partially out of the ceiling and the fitness center had an “Out of Order” sign on the door!
The next morning around 900, we asked if the manager, Mr Lyons, was in and was informed that he wasn’t. We left a note WITH our phone number asking him to call us when he came in. At 530 when we arrived back at motel, we asked if he was available and was told “he’s already left for the day.” We asked the clerk if had seen our note and the clerk just looked at us. I saw the note by the register and pointed it out and said “THAT note. Left it this morning for him.” The clerk (a black male) stated that he would have the manager contact us tomorrow (Saturday) and when we asked if the KS was available or if we were to stay in the room with the Queens, he never responded. We just told him that we would just stay in the room where we were.
If the KS room was unavailable we should have just been told it wasn’t. The price should have been checked on and adjusted to what we had been quoted at the time of the reservation. It’s only 30.00 difference but the point is we were QUOTED one amount and charged a...
Read moreWow! We’re do I start?!?? There is so much to unpack in this review and none of it is good! The hotel from the outside looks nice but that’s where it stops! The walls are dirty, the floors look like they haven’t been cleaned or vacuumed in weeks! There are fingerprints and handprints all over the glass areas and the elevator buttons and while we are talking about that let’s talk about the half eaten cookie in the elevator and chocolate (I hope) that was smeared all over the inside that was there for 2 days! Then there’s the trash bags full of trash, food containers and food lining the halls. The used qtip on the floor outside a room 3 doors down from us for 2 days! Oh let’s make our way to the room now! There were no “clean” towels! Sheets had not been changed so we had to get new set. The bathroom was molded and mildew was everywhere. No working fan in the bathroom. The ceiling had a giant patched place where the smoke detector was supposed to be but now there’s not one. It rained and the water dripped on my daughter’s head! How does that even happen? There were stink bugs and gnats in the room. The door did not secure properly. Then apparently there was a little league championship going on and some of the kids were staying there. They ran up and down the hallways until 3 am! Calls to the front desk did nothing. They told us they could not help it because they told the parents but they wouldn’t stop them. The manager was supposed to refund us but alas he has disappeared and can’t be reached now. The employees are rude. Don’t waste your time at this disgusting place! I’m sure the manager will respond with something about not being up to their standards like on other posts but if you read previous reviews these are their standards. I can’t believe this is a country inns and suites with these issues. Oh yeah don’t eat the cookies either because they allow people to reach in a grab them with their hands. They said the follow safety standards for COVID and that is completely false. Please save yourself the trouble and disgust and stay somewhere else. This is not your typical...
