Stayed here recently. Was pleasantly surprized to find such a nice spot in a little town such as Seymour, TX. The fact that they are pet friendly, and don't even have an upcharge for it, was really nice. I booked the room directly thru their website and it was a very easy, pleasant experience. We arrived at about 5 Pm and there was only one other vehicle in the parking lot. Sort of concerned but not overly so. The outside of the Inn was very nice and clean. Once we went inside our room we were very pleased. The king sized bed and the lounging ottoman were both very nice and oh so comfortable. The TV was also nice sized and the channel lineup offered was a plus! The bath area was pretty nice as well. Would have been really nice if they had tissues available to use. Concrete countertop with a very unique sink. The walk in shower was also a pleasant surprize. It even had a dispenser on the wall which contained body wash, shampoo and conditioner....The only downside to the bathroom area was that the rainshower head didn't work very well at all. However the handheld attachment worked just fine. And yes we actually have a very similar unit at home and I am very aware of how to operate it and how it should work. There was also a nice little table which worked well for eating our dinner in the room. And speaking of dinner, the Mexican restaurant located directly across the street served up some pretty good grub.||||Dealt with a few small issues thus the reason for not giving 5 stars. First off their is an area located at the end of the building where you are supposed to walk your pets. They even had a poop bag dispenser in place. Unfortunately several of the previous guests didn't see the need to clean up after their pets so I wound up doing some poop scooping prior to letting our fur baby use the area. There was also a good deal of trash in the area which I wound up picking up as well. And the grass hadn't been treated for burrs which wound up being a problem for us. Had to pick several of them off or our pets feet pads and off of the hair on her legs. It really needed to be cut much lower than it was in my opinion.||||There was a nice little coffee maker in the room which had coffee, a few packets of sugar and sweetner. But NO creamer... Was bummed about that. Wound up not using it and just walked next door to Allsups and bought our morning coffee. Really would have been nice to have had creamer in the room or at least someone in the offce to get some from....||||Also had other guests that arrived at about 8:30 Pm. Took them well over an hour to settle in, or to figure out that they were not the only folks staying there. Once again would have been nice to have had someone in the office to ask to get them to quiet down sooner.||||But all in all this was really a nice, clean and comfortable place to stay. We would definitely stay here again should such an opportunity arise. Have already told some family and friends...

Read moreI had to come to Seymour for work and had to stay for a week. At first I was not thrilled about the choices for hotels/motels I had for the area. I booked here because It looked the nicest and the reviews were good. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with my visit and stay. Brad and Sis are very accomodating and gracious hosts and will go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I booked as far out as I could knowing I may have to switch to a different place due to them being previoulsy booked on a night towards the end of my stay. Not only did they let me know as soon as they had a cancellation but re-arranged bookings so that I did not have to swap rooms. It was wonderful. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated in a ranch style decor and you can tell they spared no expense when it came to their furnishings. All of the furnishings are hardwood and sturdy. The beds are memory foam matresses and are very comfortable. Water and popcorn is replenished every day while the room is made up and you will not find any better down home cooking than from the Chuckwagon Cafe located adjacent to the main building. Brad and Sis have a great place here if and when I come back to Seymour they will for sure be getting my business again....
