I took my family to Atsion Campground in June. I picked a site that was closest to the lake. Though we could walk directly to the lake from our campsite, there was no swimming from that side of the lake, only boating. The swimming side of the lake is on the other side and you have to drive to get to it. There is a playground on that side. The campsite we had was HUGE, There was lots of privacy with trees between the campsites. The bathroom was a good hike away which was a bit of a challenge with a toddler and when I had to make my 4 AM run in pitch black darkness! And the bathrooms were a bit rustic and soiled. Also, the showers were not meant at all to be enjoyed! You have to hold the button down to get water and though I got the method of sudsing up, then rinsing off, it was quite difficult to rinse off while trying to hold down that button! And washing my toddler was a nightmare...like washing a feral cat! ||||||The camping at Atsion is nice and it's peaceful. I've been to some campsites with lots for the kids to do. This is not the case at Atsion. However, if you are looking for an inexpensive place to camp in peace, while connecting with your family, possibly visiting a lake, this is a...

We came in to find the most disgusting campground restrooms I've ever seen (trash everywhere, muddy floors, literal feces in the shower). The first night it rained and there was about 4 inches of muddy water across our entire campsite. The second day they 'cleaned' the restrooms (spread the mud around a little but didn't actually sanitize or pick up all the trash) and my husband literally watched the maintenance crew kick trash into the woods rather than pick it up. The same pieces of garbage were sitting on the ground from the day we checked in until the day we left (a whole week). We only slept there 2 nights and then abandoned our camper to stay with family the rest of the week. ||Very disappointed. I hope they find...

Every hour or so people are ask to come out the rivers so parents can see their children are there, and the rules of swimming in the river. Also the river limit is Mark with flags, nets, Lifeguards on surfboards With whistles, chair lifeguards. Also you can bring coolers with drinks no beer or alcohol. Don't feel like bringing food to grill; they sale food. A good menu and good food we bought food. Bathrooms with a place to change clothes and shower but this time showers were down. But a beautiful...
