Ranger Sales is one of the best Park Rangers I have known In Washington State or In the National Park systems. She goes out of her way to accommodate and make your experience in the park enjoying. As far as I think, she needs to be recognized by the State Park system for her work.

Although, I believe this park has a Drug Using problem that needs to be addressed. I left because I didn't feel safe. I gave the Ranger my report per my request and she took it in a professional matter.

I have been to this park many times, but this visit was different and difficult to understand what I saw and experienced here. I'm retired, I have been a Security Guard, Security Officer, Trained by Homeland Security. I felt helpless to do anything, but To give her my report and leave.

Personally, I will not return...

I do not recommend camping here if you want a peaceful experience. The highway was RIGHT next to the sites with no trees or anything blocking it. You have to cross the highway to get to the water and half the people don’t even bother to stop or slow down when you’re walking by, so run fast! Kids will be up til 1AM yelling and playing, and the camp host will do nothing about it. There’s lots of dogs but that also means a lot of dogs barking. The sites are packed in like sardines, the higher numbers (25+) looked okay, but anything in the south loop are all right next to eachother. There is ONE shower. Also the toilet stall doors are so low.. I made eye contact with multiple people who were either standing up and flushing or...

This was a nice campground. We had spot 41 over the 4th of July weekend. Overall the campground was pretty quite and there seemed to be a good amount of shade on our spot. The bathrooms were generally clean and the showers in the back portion of the campground were quite nice. You have to use tokens, though, and it was $1 for 2 tokens, each token is worth 3 minutes. Plenty of garbage cans about so you don't have to walk far. Only criticism is that the waste tube on our spot was kind of clogged so we had to drain our grey water in short bursts, which was a bit annoying. Other than that, it was a...

We stayed in site 94 in the very back. It was very secluded and quiet. I wouldn't stay in the sites at the front by 101, due to the noise of the road. The beach and day use area was rather boring. Then again we only checked it out during hightide. It's a good place for shellfishing I have heard. Our stay was to be close to Lake cushman, which it worked just fine for. The staff at the campground were very pleasant, and helpful. Would go back as long as I can find a spot near the back.

We travel from Vancouver Island and this place is in a great location to find a place and set up camp before dark in the summer time after getting off the ferry and travelling what isn’t very far at all . Plus not having gates to lock you out is a big plus as well ! We show up late coming home too in the middle of the night , quickly find a spot and go drop the cash in the box and gone in the morning! Love it and will be a spot we hit both ways every time we visit !

We really enjoyed our stay. Campsite 93 was great! There is a vault toilet right across the gravel drive and showers a few sites down. The hiking trail is right next to 93 but it didnt bother us. 93 sits so far back from the road you can't really see people walk by with your car in front. Not anyone's fault but we were stung by wasps when we hiked the trail. We visited in July.
