Loved the deluxe cabin! We went for a long weekend and loved everything about our stay. The owners were accommodating-- we were running late for check in and they called to give us directions but actually waited till we got there and allowed us a late check out. They also gave us dog treats and poop bags for our two pups. The property also has a dog walking area and a small dog park! The cabin was perfect with a microwave, coffee maker, and small fridge. The beds were extremely comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. There is also a full sized bathroom and the AC window unit will keep it extremely cold, if that is what you want. The porch swing and outdoor patio set were great in the cool evenings. They also have a swimming pool, but we were too busy to try it. The entire property is incredibly clean and well maintained. We will be back!!!

Our stay at the KOA was absolutely fantastic! The cabin we stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The beds were cozy and the restroom was spotless, making us feel right at home. The outdoor seating and fire pits were a highlight of our stay. We enjoyed grilling out and sitting by the fire in the evenings, creating lasting memories with our loved ones. The location of the KOA was perfect, with easy access to hiking trails and other outdoor activities. The staff at the KOA were friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Overall, our experience at this KOA was top-notch and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful camping experience. We will definitely be returning in the future! 5 stars all the way!

This campground was peaceful and clean. It was so quiet despite the number of RVs and trailers there. The facility had a pool, but I don't think it was open, it is still too cold there in early March. T-Mobile phone service was perfect, and the internet provided by the facility was plenty fast and efficient. Ilana at the front desk was super sweet and always had a welcoming smile. Very friendly people working there. My campsite was very neat and tidy with full hookups and pull through. I saw a basketball court, a volleyball net, tetherball, and large open field areas where kids can play. Because I saw a few ramps, I think there is some accommodation somehow someway for wheelchairs. This campground is definitely not high luxury, but it did the trick for the change of scenery.

My family and I stayed at the KOA in Silver City, NM this past weekend. 4 days to be exact. First of all, we were supoosed to pay for 2 and get 3rd day half off- didn't happen. The owner did not know how to return the credit. The next morning I went to the office to get my credit and Joanne was still working on it. Later on that night my sister drive into the campground and was told she needed to get a pass to be in the campground. Literally was chased down to be told that she will not be able to stay if she does not have reservations. Which I knew but I could not tell my sister because the security stopped her before she could even talk to me. That night we started a fire with from logs we brought down from the hill. John the other owner came to our campsite and started telling us how we could not be doing that. And that he had wood for the fire pit that he buys from Albertson's and sells to the campsite for a dollar more. No where in his rules, or signs did it say we could not get the tree trunks or logs from the hills. Later, on Saturday 2of the boys got sick. Stomach flu or food poisoning or something, any way they got up and threw up on our blankets, then went to the bathroom and threw up in the toilets. Not the floor or sink, but in the toilets. The next morning the bathroom staff kept harassing the boys asking them who had been throwing up in their toilets, really? The next morning I went to the office and rented a cabin because the tents went not going to suffice our needs. They gladly took our money and gave us a cabin. John was courteous and even gave us a bag of logs. Ok, cool right. I told John my brother was driving into Silver City that night and was coming just like my sister late at night, since he and his wife both worked that day. I told him how much was the charge, John said he can stay in the cabin. I failed to mention to John that they had a boy with them. The next morning Joanne was hysterical about the fifth boy. Kept telling me that the 5th boy was not accounted for. Now I know that Joanne was pretty frightened at the fact that Thursday night someone broke her office window and tried breaking in and we suffered because of it. My boys were looked upon as the boys who did the damage and the staff made a point to keep an eye on us. Very unvomfortable! On Sunday my boys had a B-B gun and were shooting towards the hills at cans and trees and do on. I did not know we were not allowed to have "guns" on the property. A groundskeeper went after the boys, after being alerted by another staff member and was telling my boys that if they were shooting towards the campground and at the stupid ducks. I went and approached this gentleman and told him he has no business talking to my boys like that. If he had any problems he could come to me. Or any other adult! That day, Sunday, our last day there, we again felt very uncomfortable about staying there, the groundskeeper was keeping an eye on us, the bathroom staff were rude cleaning while we were trying to shower and shave before the cleaning hours. 10:45am. I've stayed at this KOA before and was very satisfied but after this last weekend I'm never going back there. John & Joanne, I hope the $400.00 we dumped in this place was worth the harassment. I am not saying that I am angel but I too am a business owner and the way you talk to people is key to handling any situation and John & Joanne you guys suck at it!! And I never saw my credit of $18.00. Very bad experience!! My brother and Sister had never camped and I told them it would be fun and very good place I knew in Silver City. What a...

I am a single disabled mom, and I stayed in cabin #1 at the Silver City New Mexico KOA with my 3 year old son and my registered service dog on October 4, 2017. From 6:55pm-7:05pm, I was gathering our bathing supplies, and my son was crying as he was overtired. We were in front of cabin 1, which is a few yards from the bathrooms and the apartment on top, in which the owners live. At 7:10pm, my son and I walked hand in hand to the bathrooms. He was no longer crying, and he was naked as I had disrobed him prior to walking to the shower. It was dark and no other guests were present. At that time, the male owner came out of the apartment, cornered me in front of the bathrooms, pointed his finger in my face and said gruffly, “we won’t be doing this again.” I replied, “what do you mean?” He said, “you booked one night here, you won’t be staying a second night and you won’t be coming back here again.” I said, “why? What did we do wrong?” And he replied, “I wasn’t thrilled about you when you showed up, and I’m even less thrilled about you now.” I said, “I don’t understand. Haven’t you had crying toddlers here before?” He said, “yes we have. But you’re not coming back here ever again. You are ridiculous and your kid is naked.” I replied, “yes he is. We are on our way to take a bath, there’s no one else around, it’s dark, and he’s only 3.” I then asked his name. He replied, “I’m the owner.” I said, “I’m aware of that, but I’m asking your name.” To which he replied, “my name is ‘billy bob’.” I said, “ok, can you please clarify what rules we broke to deserve being told we aren’t allowed to come back here again?” At that time he turned his back and walked away, refusing to answer my question. Because we did not break any rules, nor did we do anything wrong. Besides the 10 minutes of crying from 6:55-7:05pm, we were quite, respectful, kept to ourselves, bought items in their gift store, and were in bed by 8pm. I feel the owners are discriminating against me, due to the fact that I am a single disabled mom. I felt fearful of the owner as he physically intimidated me by backing my into a corner at night, invading my personal space and pointing his finger in my face, while I was alone with my toddler. I could not sleep that night as I was fearful for my safety and scared he was going to try and retaliate against me for being a single disabled mom with a crying toddler. This behavior is totally unacceptable and not what I expect when I stay at KOA. I have traveled for the last 5 years and spent thousands of dollars staying at KOA. I expect to be treated with dignity and respect, even though I am alone in my travels and disabled. I expect to feel safe at KOA, and not to be physically threatened and emotionally intimidated by the owners. This owner bullied and harassed me, and by his own account, simply didn’t like me based on his own judgments. He had zero personal interactions with me, except for his bullying and harassing me at the bathrooms. Due to the inappropriate behavior by the owner, I have contacted KOA corporate, and will update the review with how they have chosen to handle this very...

We came for four nights and stayed for six. The staff and facilities are excellent, helpful and friendly. The adjacent hiking trails are fun for a casual walk. We would definitely stay here again.

A note about Silver City: As with a lot of places during the current dismal economic conditions, the central historical district shows its distress with many closed or vacant store fronts. Still, this district is worth a walk-about. My spouse was disappointed in the quality and quantity of fine art and fine art shops. To be fair, we had just come from the Scottsdale area, and the bar was high. She hopes that Silver City is not currently rated as being in the top 100 US "fine art cities" as it has been in the past [as written in several descriptions, but with no reference for the rating source], because if it is, then US fine art has taken a severe hit. Folk art is flourishing here and tended to be the focus of most of the shops we found open. As with the rest of the town folk we met, the shop keepers are very friendly and helpful. We were pleased to find a CO-OP food store with lots of healthy and organic foods. There are a number of interesting sites in the Silver City area which are well described in local literature and web sites and worth the effort to visit. That we stayed six nights is a reflection on the slow pace we maintain and that we had a dental issue appear on the fifth day which required an...
