We stayed here for about 2 weeks. This camp and one across the lake that we canoed to. The road to these campgrounds are suitable for anything with 4WD or dirt bikes. We have a truck camper and about rolled it through the small car sized ruts that cover this road for about 4 miles. The lake is absolutely stunning and the fishing is great, if you know how to fish for trout. The store is shut down, so bring your own bait, water and pack out your trash. There was a burn ban but we could have fires in the designated camping areas that were numbered and had fire pits. There is a trail that goes to the Little Three Creek Lake and another smaller pond. this trail is not marked and not easy to see from the road (at the camp across the lake). It is about a mile long and we’ll worth the trip. No one we talked to, nor us, caught fish from this lake but it was most definitely secluded and amazingly quiet.
I would definitely come back here again in the warmer months. As September set in it started to frost. A park Ranger told us it would be winter in October till sometime around June. I would have given this a 5 star if the roads...
Read moreIt's a beautiful Lake... And the trails are busy but nice. This place gets a ton of Traffic during the day! Cars line the whole gravel Rd. Everyday we were there. The campground sucks during the day because of Day use people!! Ideally , There should be a turn around before the campgrounds - :( There's soooo many cars that drive thru to turn around ..creating A ton of dust. For paying campers. Also most stop in by the carfull! and use one of the 3Creeks campground s 2 Vault toilets.
PLEASE Build a Separate Vault toilet just for day use... It will solve multiple problems!! And sanitation issues. The campground and Paying campers suffer during the day....

Waking up to watch the sunrise and watching baby birds from a small tree individually run quickly to have a drink from the lake and run back to their nest, and then two baby chipmunks playfully chase each other around a log. To top it off when we canoed around the lake we saw a bald eagle graciously perched on top of a large tree, it was most certainly a beautiful and mindfulness moment. If you love camping, you will love...
