Tail of the Dragon Vacation Rentals — Hotel in Snowbird Community

The Good:We rented all 3 of the cabins and the size of them was good. The deck was nice.

The Bad: Good luck finding the place. It's NOT clearly marked by any means. This is NOT biker friendly as advertised. All locations have STEEP GRADES on GRAVEL driveways with blind turns in order to get up to the garages. We had several members dump their bikes in the course of the week and a few gave up and left their bikes down at the bottom. If you are not used to 60%+ grades on gravel, shop elsewhere. The showers are a joke. There is no real "head". It simply slaps water on you like a hose.

The "internet" is actually a Verizon extender and not actually DSL. I understand the mountains aren't known for great service, but my phone did better without their "WiFi". Also, their computer is an antique. Do not plan on getting any pictures from your trip on this thing.

We asked for towels (there was one per bathroom) Simple request couldn't be fulfilled (so bring your own).

We noticed a mold smell when we arrived at the Tree Tops location and this turned into two club members falling ill. One with an infection of his eye and the other with a pretty decent sized abscess on his arm that required an hour ride to the nearest hospital late at night.

The owners are no where to be found. You may see their dog come out and visit, but they're no where to be found...ever.

So, if you're ok with bringing your own towels, are able to climb gravel hills like Evel Knievel, don't care about internet or a decent shower, this...

We stayed at their Treetops house for a great weekend near the Dragon. The houses are all well kept and they provide lots to do onsite when you're not out driving. We had a blast and experienced absolutely zero issues the whole time we were there. Only small downside is the steep and mostly gravel driveway which my UHP summer tires didn't enjoy very much, but I could still make it up and down in the rain. But overall I can't recommend this place enough and would give it more...

I host a group of electric motorcycles(and some cars) every year, and this property does not disappoint. Huge garages, pool tables, hot tubs, and a great value for the price, especially for a larger group.

Accommodations are simple and practical. Just what we like. Internet is good, driveways are paved in the steep sections.

If you have an official group event, they will print signs/stickers for you. Can't get that...
