We booked the K unit “Knotty Pine - Honeymoon Chalet” as we liked the full kitchen and the Jacuzzi. We stayed only one night but our experience was not great at all. After we checked in, we started to make dinner when all of a sudden the power went out. We checked and found some other units still had power, and the circuit breakers inside the unit were all fine. Since thee was no phone in the unit, and their WiFi, though connected, cannot get to the internet, and there was no cellular signal (for T-Mobile), I had to walk a long way in the cold dark night to the lobby building to ask for help. And since after 5 there was no one there, I had to use the phone inside the front desk to call their number. Finally someone came to help. After a few failed starts the power was finally restored, but we were cautioned to not use too many high power appliance at the same time. So we had to unplugged their space heater and relied only on the fireplace. And we dared not use the Jacuzzi pump. We just used it as a regular tub. And the heater inside the bathroom had a notice saying it does not function. Other negative things: No hair dryer, but they provided on request No facial tissue No chop board in the kitchen So called coffee maker is just a French press Only 2 cloth hangers were provided Only 1 out of 3 light bulbs works in the lamp above the dinning table Bath tub water cannot be fully diverted to the shower Some blinds are broken The bed has no headboard With a before tax rate of $299 and such poor maintenance and amenities, we felt it is not worth it. But the staff there was very helpful, especially when our car could back up the driveway due to the ice formed overnight. They helped pour some salt under the tires and along the way, and all three of them helped push my car to help it start moving. Many thanks for their help.

We stayed in a small cabin the first 2 nights. It was nice. Little dirty but OK. Only a couple mice droppings and a little hair in the bathroom. The next 2 nights we moved to a 4 bed condo. So dirty. Toilet seat and lid were on the floor when we walked in. The other bathroom the sink did not drain and was still full of dirty water. Mice poop in all the cabinets and in the dishes. Broken and missing screens. It was summer so we had the windows open, with missing screens the bugs love the light and came inside also. That's ok because it fed the spiders. There are spider webs everywhere inside. There was food left on the stove top. There was a nail sticking out of the hand rail on the stairs. It tore my wife's shirt and cut her arm. I pounded it in with a rock, but I'm not sure why it was there in the first place. TV was static only. There was a DVD player but no DVDs. At 650.00 a night I'm discussed at the cleanliness and deterioration of this place. I called but didn't get an answer. I wrote a long email also before posting this and still have not received a response. I figured someone would contact me but apparently they do not care. The guy cleaning the cabins is also shirtless drinking beers, not that that matters but the wives thought the shirtless part was super gross.

I did a wedding here with the previous owners and it was perfect. Always someone at the front desk who was knowledgeable with handling weddings and events. Items on the contract were done prior to guests arrival and those "to-do" items during the event were handled appropriately.||||Fast forward to new owners. They honored a contract that was put in place by the previous owners and delayed by Covid, that is the only positive comment I have. Nobody mans the front desk, they leave a phone out front for you to call with questions and nobody answered it during the 3 days we were onsite. You had to track down the staff if you needed something or had questions. The staff on premise were friendly and did the best they could but 1 or 2 people at most to handle the number of cabins and people is unheard of and sets them up for failure. Our wedding was 150 quests with all cabins full, itinerary, event layout etc were emailed weeks prior as stated in contract didn't get done and we had to do it. Outside heaters didn't work, items in cottages were broken (french press), both refrigerators in the shack behind bar that is there to use to cool drinks etc didn't work. Only the top freezer works, the big freezer doesn't even cool. Contract stated chairs were to be moved from wedding venue to tables and they demanded this information weeks prior but they only had 1 person to handle which again we got wedding guests to help. This is a destination wedding venue for most people, not only is it an expense to travel to and pay for rooms the least you could do is to make certain everything is in working order and clean so it shines. It is a good thing we had extra people come up 2 days early who spent our wedding time getting your items done. Was that really fair for our guests who came up early to get our stuff unloaded and organized to take care of items you didn't get done. ||||Kind of ironic, you expect those renting your rooms to wash the dirty dishes, separate garbage, leave dirty towels in one spot and keep or move back furniture the way we found it or we would be charged extra but you don't have the same expectations for your establishment to follow.....Shame on you...You failed as a wedding or event venue.....it's not your people it's you the owners for not hiring enough people to take care of your business, set expectations, be onsite, check things out....look at your reviews and take note your reputation is...
