As much as I hate to leave less than 5 stars if I am going to be honest then 3 stars is fair. We stayed in our RV there for 25 days while our house is being built. We were at another campground but moved only because Arrowhead had a place we could rent for incoming family for a week. In total we rented an RV spot for 25 days, a boat slip for 25 days, and the large house for 7 days. We also rented a pontoon boat for a day. All total about $5,000. So here goes the review. We had repeated issues with not being able to drain our holding tanks on our RV without it backing up and flowing on the ground. Gross. They never mentioned charging us by the day versus the monthly rate or we would have reserved the 5 additional days. Big price difference. And the house was close to $2,500 for 7 days and was filthy. There was dust everywhere (pics), there were very few utensils (pic), the windows have huge cobwebs that have been there a while, there was trash under the back porch steps (pic), and the only trash bag was so thin you couldn’t pick it up without it tearing. There were no supplies (paper towels, dishwashing liquid, etc.) that you normally find in starter sizes when renting a place for that amount of money. The largest bed in the house is a queen (1) so the whole family slept like sardines in a can on the bunk beds and full bed. For the good I can say the AC worked well downstairs and there were plenty of plates and silverware for 9 adults. The dishwasher worked well and we used it twice a day for 7 days. The stove and washer and dryer were also nice and worked well. The only issue with the refrigerator is that the ice maker did not work so we made frequent trips to the local market for cooler ice. There was seating in the living room for 5 people. A card table for a dining room table sat 4. Two barstools at the stove seat an additional 2. Arrowhead is trying to remodel and become the awesome place it really could be. They have a really nice vibe going, it is laid back and so peaceful. I am just disappointed at the overall cost for what I perceive as substandard attention to detail. I hope others aren’t so surprised and that by next year Arrowhead has had time to fix the shortcomings. Edit to add that for 25 days our RV site was not mowed. Twice we moved our rug, chairs, and vehicles but the mowing man never mowed at our site. The grass was beyond overgrown and annoying by the time we left.

First time visitors to Arrowhead. Children and Grandchildren all had a fun time playing outside with the numerous options. Initially struggled to find the check in office (inside restaurant) but process was effortless. We rented 1 and 2 bedroom efficiency type apartments and they were freshly remodeled. Based on your length of stay you may want to bring extra paper towels, garbage bags, tp, and coffee filters. Also, if you decide to bake in the oven, check to ensure its totally clean, (we set off the smoke alarm!). We had our family get together in the 2 bedroom apartments as the dinner table is much larger. You also have the option to tent camp or RV camp. They have it all. Short walk to sandy beach, secured swim area with platform. Outside amenities include basket court, rental kayaks, pontoon boats, fire pits, picnic tables, and everything you need to enjoy family fun outside. Also, a boat launch is available should you bring you're own watercraft. They have a restaurant but unfortunately I can't review the food because we never got waited on, either inside, (no hostess for 7 minutes) or outside (were told to pick a table and someone would wait on us). They do have a walk up window for snacks like nacho's, chili dogs etc. They were prompt and as snack food goes, pretty good. A small convenience store is located inside main building to purchase just about anything you need, from food, beverages, fishing equipment, and gift items. All in all we had a great first visit and will return. Also, pretty decent WiFi signal throughout the resort, and our Verizon signal was strong. The grounds are well kept and the water view never gets old. Enjoy.

My family stayed at Arrowhead Resort for two nights on the recommendation of a friend of a friend. We were atypical guests, as we were in the area for a family wedding rather than Watts Bar Lake activities. We did some research and found Arrowhead to be a better option than motels in the area, for reasons of both convenience and affordability. The two-bedroom apartment was clean, and the beds and the furniture were comfortable. The kitchen was handy, considering that the restaurant on the property is closed for repairs. We shopped at the nearby Piggly Wiggly and prepared our own meals. We needed clean clothes for our departure. Arrowhead provides a complimentary laundry room, so we were able to do our washing the second night. It also helped that the store on the property sells small bottles of laundry detergent, which saved us a drive when we going to be out all day. The store has everything guests need for the full Arrowhead experience, including fishing and grilling supplies. One thing in particular impressed me at check-out. The night before, my younger son lost some quarters in the Mountain Dew vending machine. A man in a pickup truck (the owner/manager?) told me to ask the staff for a refund in the morning. I did not need to ask -- the lady at the desk was already aware and provided the refund right away. Between the genial southern hospitality and the quality of the apartment, we were sorry we had to leave. If we visit the area again, we will be back at Arrowhead.

UPDATE TO THE UPDATED REVIEW: Unfortunately, greed has taken over the mindset of the new owners. A family (the second generation) that has lived there for years was told when the new owners took possession that their land rental agreement would not change. But, in fact, the first of January 2024 this family received a notice to vacate the premises and was given until the end of February to sell or move their mobile home from the property. Their agreement had been terminated. The cost and time constrictions of moving the home was unattainable and the family was forced to sell the mobile home to the greedy land owners for a ridiculously reduced amount. The new owners are buying out the year round residents and then renting out those same mobile homes for over $1000 per month to LONG AND SHORT TERM RESIDENTS!!!! There is no longer a restaurant on the premises. That is being changed to a hot dog stand at the end of the building that once housed the restaurant. The new owners had advertised a full resort to an upcoming fishing tournament. Unfortunately those participants were received to much less than what was advertised and they were very upset and rightly so!! The new owners have concern only for their personal gain and have no concern for the families they have caused to lose their home and all that they had invested, or the tourist that have grown to trust an expected experience at Arrowhead Resort. We have lost complete respect and trust in the new owners and their vision to make a buck at the expense of the well-being of others. We will NEVER return to this overpriced and under delivered place!!!!!!

UPDATED REVIEW: The new owners are really working hard to bring alot of improvements!! The room was updated and the mattress was amazing!! Great job! We will definitely be back!!

The lake view is beautiful but the motel room leaves a LOT to be desired! The mattresses are the worst I've ever slept on anywhere. No internet/WIFI. Very old 13" box tv. The room charge of $95 was very overpriced. The restaurant was nice and food was good. Staff and resort residents...

If I could give zero stars I would. I can not speak for the lodging since our experience was only with the restaurant at the marina. We decided to have breakfast on the lake on our way out of town. We stopped at the highly rated and suggested marina restaurant for what we thought was going to be great breakfast. When entering the restaurant no one was there to greet us or put us on a waiting list. We stood approx 5 min before being acknowledged by a waitress who sat us. She took our order quickly which was great and seemed freindly enough. Having a toddler with us we were hoping for a quick delivery on a simple order of bacon grits and pancakes. Well we waited for 30 min with no signs of food and no one ever came to refill our glasses. Our table was directly in front of the exit from the kitchen area so every waitress had to regularly pass us and none checked on us upon each passing. As the toddler grew hungrier, more tired, and irritated my husband and I the.n had to take shifts walking her around the marina and restaurant. After an hour and a half wait time I was finally able to get a waitress to acknowledge me by standing and blocking the enterance to the kitchen and asked about how much longer wait time on the food since it had already been an hour and a half. We were told we should be next and the orders go in in the order people were seated. I told the waitress that I found that interested because we had noticed 2 other larger tables get their food before us who were seated after us. The waitress shrugged and said we should be next and disappeared into the kitchen. After a 2 HOUR WAIT for food our food arrived. Three bites into my husband's pancakes he pulls out a long grey hair from his food. All the waitress said was sorry. We stopped eating and had to then get back in the car with a screaming toddler and no food. 2 hours gone...no food...we will NEVER return and I would strongly advise you...
