When the new owners took over we thought we would try out the restaurant. I ordered chicken tenders with a side of onion rings. The meal was amazingly good. The waitress explained that the tenders were hand double dipped in batter and deep fried to light golden brown. The onion rings appeared to be hand thick cut, battered and deep fried. We liked them so much that we ordered them to go many times over the last few months. Sadly over time the quality steadily went down. The last two times the tenders and rings looked like cheap frozen versions you could get at a convenience store and once fried till burnt. We will not be back! If I could give a minus rating, I would! Absolutely the WORST meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant! The place was packed and I don’t understand why. I ordered the fish and chips for $16. I got 2 tiny pieces of COLD fried fish, each piece about the size of a hot dog, and a handful of COLD greasy homemade chips rather than the French fries stated on the menu. Waited over 30 minutes for this plate of garbage! We were some of the last customers served since by then it was closing time. I guess they just threw whatever was left onto a plate and served it. My husband and I have been going here for the last few months. The food is not the best but they keep making improvements. And they need to add more non-beer selections to the drink menu. They used to have hard cider but they haven't in months. I understand it is off season but at least one other choice please. We keep going for the people. Paige is fantastic! She remembers are previous choices and always greets us. She is great on trivia night. I don't know how she keeps all the orders straight and keeps us all straight on the trivia answers.
