Bear Lake Hot Springs — Hotel in St. Charles

If i could do Zero stars i would! We have been coming here since i was little. And this will forever be the last time any of our friends or family ever stay at this location.

First off every single person in the shop will tell you different prices on how much camping is and are completely un clear about everything in regards to how much it is for a car with a tent and also the camp ground.

Secondly after my friends and family got through paying either 25 10 or even some paid only 5. That night we had the most rude and unprofessional time with some Security officer claiming "to own the place" threatened to put my friend in hand cuffs to "teach him a lesson" yes we did have a big group of people enjoying the night. And this guy continues to lie to us saying that they can hear loud music when we were playing music on our phone. There is absolutely no way possible even the next tent over could hear us. Again this guy camped outside our site sat in his truck and continued to scream at us saying you cant keep making noise the neighbors are complaining! ALL OF THE NEIGHBORS WERE AT ARE CAMP GROUND! I hope you take some serious reconsideration on this mans employment cause you just lost a ton of...

This has to be one of the worst camping spots of all time! We stayed there last weekend and will never return to this spot, ever. They have porta potties as the only bathroom amenities. When we stayed the porta potties were full enough that we could no longer use them. Not only is that on management to fix, but it is definitely some kind of health code violation. Our neighbors were up until 3 am partying, and the staff didn't care. Don't count on anyone being there to help maintain some common level of decency among campers. We were packed in like sardines, but that doesn't mean we get to be treated like animals! Some of the staff were nice, but there was one lady that even the other staff referred to as angry an rude. I'm in no way a camping snob and I'm ok with porta potties as long as they're emptied, but this was too much even for me. I loved Bear Lake, and once I got to shore the time I spent there was fantastic, but this place really needs new management or else they'll be looking at...

Im so sorry to read all the bad reviews people are posting! I give it a 5 star plus rating!!!! Last year was the first time my family has went up there camping as we got invited from friends that go every year. We had a blast and not once was any of the staff rude to any of us. Yes stuff in the store is more expencive than like a walmart. If people dont want to pay the prices than maybe they should come prepared. Its the convenience of having supplies within walking distance your going to pay a little more. There are rules in camp grounds. You cant run around lawless and act like aholes when you have other families camping next to you. Just follow the rules and nobody that works there will bother you. Its not a 5 star hotel with a mint on their pillow in the morning its camping!! Im the kind of person if i get great service i will post it and let you know its awesome. We are all going up this friday to sunday. I will do a post on my way home. Hopefully it will be as amazing...
