Came by for lunch while we were camping at Bear Lake. We tried the tostones, yuca frita, Dominican Chimi, special (chicken lollipops), quesadillas, and grilled cheese. The tostones were great! Smashed fried green plantain with a coating of salt and ketchup on the side. Yuca frita was tasty with a seasoning and salt applied after frying, Dominican chili was like a shredded chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, red onion, mayo and lite mustard. Chicken lollipops were dark meat lollipops with Dominican seasoning… very tasty. The quesadilla was good and the unique flavor was a touch of mustard. The grilled cheese was good with lots of cheese and three slices of bread. The owner was friendly and helpful explaining the different items. He has a rotating menu which you can view electronically. When our order was ready he boxed it and balled each container. The food was made fresh when we ordered in I think a reasonable time but don’t expect to leave with a large order in 10 minutes. Would definitely eat here again.

Bearlake Munchies.!! Nestled along the tranquil shores of Bear Lake in Saint Charles, Idaho, Bearlake Munchies offers a unique culinary experience that sets it apart from typical lakeside dining. This cozy gem serves up a delightful array of Dominican Republic dishes, transporting diners to a world of vibrant flavors and rich cultural traditions. Upon entering Bearlake Munchies, you'll immediately feel welcomed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The décor is charmingly rustic, with a hint of tropical flair that complements the restaurant’s distinctive menu. The service at Bearlake Munchies is attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this small restaurant offers a memorable taste of the Dominican Republic right by the lake. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem if you’re in the area—you won’t be disappointed.

We googled and found this place near the shore of Bear lake.. We tried the chicken quesadillas, tostones and French fries), quesadillas, and grilled cheese. Tostones are fried plantain with salt. They were AMAZING.. the food has this delicious Dominican taste and the love of a fresh meal.. The owner is so friendly and passionate for his menu, giving us a lovely experience that we will never forget.. BTW, he prepared to us a nice and tasty dessert, warm pineapple with cinnamon.. gorgeous.. we will definitely come back again!! If you visit Bear Lake, Don’t miss trying this place!! ❤️🙌🏻

Charming little place tucked a short distance away from the north beach. The atmosphere is cozy and the decor is unique; definitely not the kind you’d find in some chain restaurant. I liked the fact that they have some Dominican takes on classics and that the owner took the time to tell me what he recommended. You could tell that he takes pride in what he produces, and it shows in the quality of the food. We had an American wagyu cheeseburger, a Dominican style chicken sandwich, quesadillas, and fries. Everything was fresh and tasted fantastic. Even my incredibly picky child enjoyed the food we got for them. I regret not getting the fried plantains, but I will definitely come back here for them next time I’m...
