MUCH bigger than we were expecting and immaculate - the perfect modernization of a historic building. We got all of the rooms for a family event in Stockport and slept 17 people here comfortably. The lobby was a perfect place for us to all congregate. There’s a well-stocked Family Dollar a 1min drive across the bridge we stocked up at, a great pizza place down the street, and of course it’s right across the street from the Stockport Mill. We didn’t watch much TV, but there was a new flat panel in every room + Roku. And it had GREAT internet service. I was able to work remotely with better connection speeds than my house in central Austin, TX.

We stayed here when hiking the Buckeye Trail, which passes through Stockport. It was cheaper than the Stockport Mill, so I was very impressed to discover how beautiful and historic it was. Plus, there are amenities such as kitchen access, coffee and snacks, and an area to relax. The self check-in made it very convenient, although the owner, Travis, was easy to contact if you needed anything. Great views of the Muskingum River and town.

Stayed here with my family one night in the Smiths room. We loved the old wood floor vibe, and spacious kitchen area. Very well restored and maintained. AC units in each room. Right off the river so you can walk over the bridge to take it in. Family Dollar is only a short distance away for groceries.

I don’t usually share things like this, but I feel led to speak up and give thanks where it’s due.

Over the past few years, I’ve faced some of the hardest battles of my life—addiction, cancer, lung surgery, and most recently, homelessness while waiting for disability approval. I stayed in several motels around Morgan County, and was treated unfairly at almost every one. But then I found @HardwareInnOH.

Travis, the owner, saw me—not my past, not my struggles—but me. He opened his doors without judgment and even refused to let me pay. He told me, “Use that money to get back on your feet.” That act of kindness gave me hope when I needed it most.

While staying there, I found peace, rest, and strength. And I’m so thankful to say I’ve found an apartment and will be moving in soon. God is so good—and He used Travis and the Hardware Inn to remind me that love and compassion still exist.

Thank you, Travis. I will never forget what you did for me. 💛

The room was very nice, clean, large. Comfortable seating and bed, pillows could be better, was wishing I brought my own. It was advertised as river views. I thought that meant the room, no view from our room and the only place to see it was in the lobby. From the pictures I thought the cooking area was in our room, but it also is in the lobby for community use. Coffee, tea and snacks are available 24 hrs. Overall it is a nice place and I would stay there again if...
