Stratton Sun Bowl Base Lodge — Hotel in Stratton

The weirdest thing happened here. So it’s pouring rain. Not many people on the mountain, but conditions are surprisingly decent! Long story short, though, our clothes were drenched so we wanted to dry them off and warm up. We go down to the bathroom and start drying when this man emerges from the stall (after a good 5/10 minutes), tells us to stop, and then goes back into the stall! So, if you come here 1) don’t dry your clothes with the hand dryer, and 2) good luck accessing the stall on the right in the boys room. Mans still probably in there.

ALSO: I ordered a burrito and the people making the food had literally no idea what they were doing. It was so bad it was actually funny. I was upset I paid 10$ for a poorly rolled/missing ingredients food item, but the laughs were well worth it

I am an avid skier. I had only skied Stratton once before and never got a good feel for it. Now that I have an Ikon Ski Pass, we are skiing there almost weekly. We have found that Stratton is a great ski area. You can play the mountain and rarely hit a long lift line unless you go to the main base and want to go on the gondola. Even with Covid social distancing. Sunbowl has better parking and is generally less crowded. It doesn't seem like there are to many skiers in that area and you can easily access the rest of the mountain from there. Come, ski and enjoy the great Vermont outdoors. But please abide by the Vermont Covid...

Excellent skiing resort. On this day they had 54 trails open and 9 lifts. The mountain wasn't icy at the begining of the day, all trails are long, and wide. The wait time for the lifts was short and the skiing experience was awesome. Green trails were long and are great for all skill levels.
