Overall experience seems to depend on what site you get. Site: Personally was very pleased with where we were at site 708, it was a last row corner, only having to worry about neighbors on one side was nice and the site itself was larger than normal. The leveling wasn’t any worse/better than other koa’s we’ve been to. However, walking around we realized we lucked compared to some, like sites 15-6 had smaller ‘yard’ space and some drop offs. Felt bad for a 5th wheel group (site 7 or 8) that had an outdoor kitchen on the side of their trailer. There was a bit of a drop off on the gravel pad so the stove was chest level and I’d be impressed if they could reach the cabinets above it. Pool: I appreciated the shape of the pool being wavy as it made it easy to find a nook to hang out in and thought the quality of the pool furniture was better than most we’ve seen. This was the only place on our trip we were able to utilize the pool on Friday/weekends without it feeling overly crowded. For once the smaller kids stayed in the shallow end instead of over running the entire space. I also heard multiple parents remind their kids to be conscious where they were jumping in as to not splash the groups of adults trying to relax. As someone who reads by/in the pool on a kindle this was refreshing. I specifically switched to a water resistant method after a library book last summer got ruined by a cannonball done inches away from me. Ponds: Fishing was nice, got a few small catches. The rickety dock that is mentioned in other reviews is blocked off now leaving only one platform otherwise it’s shore fishing which could be challenge because of all the weed accumulation. Laundry: LOVE the quarter machine located within the laundry room (doesn’t seem like a common koa practice but it should be). They had quite a few machines and 2 laundry mat style rolling carts that could be used. Location: About 40 minutes from downtown Cleveland so it’s within range of quite a bit to do. There is also a lot of restaurants in the immediate area. Target is right down the street and Walmart is close as well. Because the campground is long it gives the illusion you’re not in the middle of a town. They also retained the tree line and brush around the perimeter giving it a woodsy feel. Not sure if that contributed to the amount of bugs, 4 states and this was the only time I had to use bug spray for mosquitos and light citronella candles. Noise: After seeing some reviews mentioning the industrial park and train I got nervous. However, our site was in the row closest to the industrial area. Over the few days of our stay we heard the beep or a backing up truck twice. A train whistled between 11- midnight on occasion but you could tell it was an ‘in the distance’ kinda thing not right next to the campground. At night the light pollution from the industrial area was the most obvious sign it was there. Noise wise wasn’t bad at night or during the day, more like a constant hum so it faded into the background like white noise unless you intentionally listened for it, didn’t ruin the vibe of relaxing by the campfire.

We stayed here for two weeks while visiting Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the vicinity. The entrance road into the campground will lead you straight to the office, which will be on your left. Make sure you park at the stop sign while checking in so there's enough space for the other campers to pass you on the left and enter through the gate, which is activated by pass code. With the exception of four small back-in sites near the office, all of the sites for short-term stays are on the right/east side of the campground. There are two short rows of pull-through sites; the rest are back-ins. All of the sites have gravel pads and grass lawns, connected by gravel roads. Most of the sites have at least one tree, but only a few are heavily shaded. Our site (611) was fairly level, though we did put a board under the camper tires on the driver's side, and we weren't the only campers to do that. Each site comes with a fire ring and picnic table; the three deluxe patio sites also have a gas grill. The hookups were in a reasonable location. The campground has the typical KOA amenities. The office has the typical convenience/souvenir store but also has an ice cream counter. The propane refill tank is near the store, and it looked like they also provide 20lbs propane tank exchanges. There are two playground areas: the one across from the swimming pool also has a sand pit (a large sandbox without the box) and a basketball hoop, while the one at the back of the campground has a swing set, a tetherball court, and a grassy area for freestyle play. There are also three pavilions, and two bathhouses with single occupant bathrooms with showers. There are two dog runs. The smaller one has a white, narrow-rail fence with a single gate attached to the bathhouse near the entrance gate. The larger one is at the back of the campground with a chain link fence with an airlock gate, but is not lit at night. There are also plenty of grassy areas around the lakes and the outskirts of the campground for walking dogs. In terms of cell service, the best speed I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna was 10 Mbps down and 14 up. There were one or two evenings where the network was saturated, making video streaming impractical, but the rest of the time it was okay. The best speed test I ran on my 5G AT&T smartphone showed 65 Mbps down and 6 up. The one test I did of the campground WiFi showed 2 Mbps down and 1.3 Mbps up. Being at the back of the campground, we did hear some road noise from I-80, and the occasional train, but otherwise it was fairly quiet. Be aware that they do not generally allow you to have packages or mail delivered to the campground, but it sounded like they could make an exception under certain circumstances, like for essential mail-order prescription refills. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Streetsboro Cleveland SE KOA is a decent RV campground to stay for a few days. Upon arrival, we checked in at the office and received our flier with rules and a map to our site. We had requested a spot with minimal trees for our satellite, but the site had lots of trees anyone so we had difficult with our satellite reception. The two young men at the desk were unable to answer questions because it was only day two working there for each one of them (management should have trained them.) They were, however, both pleasant. All park employees were pleasant and courteous. We proceeded to our site, 711, a gravel back in full hookup 50 amp spot with a picnic table, a fire ring, and side grass. The site was very unlevel yet long enough for our travel trailer and our tow truck parked sideways along the road. Surrounding guests were kind and courteous. Other ways to stay: cabins, deluxe cabins, tents, deluxe tents, RV water/electric sites, and RV deluxe patio sites. The park offers amenities such as an office general store, a laundromat with five washers and eight dryers ($2 per load for all machines), two fishing ponds, a seasonal swimming pool, two playgrounds, a game room, a large outdoor chess set, two bath/shower facilities, trash pickup from each site, on-site propane, two dog parks, doggy waste bags and disposal containers, a gem mining area, a horseshoe area, a volleyball area, a basketball area, a dump station, and a pavilion. No incoming packages accepted for guests at this campground (very odd and inconvenient - we have been full time RV traveling the country for two years and this is the very first park that has not accepted packages.) Close to many things to do in Cleveland.

This was our first time staying at this KOA and wow!! This campground is the blueprint of how all other KOA's should be! The grounds are so beautiful, grass is lush and well kept, pool had just opened and it was very clean and nice. Sites were spacious, level and clean. There are 2 workers we wanted to take the time to recognize for their outstanding commitment to delivering top notch customer service.

Let's just be real, the workers at campgrounds can't be making much more than minimum wage, making it really easy for them to be disgruntled, rude or easy to not do anything above the absolute minimum. But that is not the case here. The 2 workers that stood out to us enough to take the time to recognize them are Amy and A.J.

Amy is the employee that checked us in. She was so welcoming and kind. Her checkin process was thorough and she informed us of everything we needed to know about the park. Our kids were rambunctious from being cramped in our truck for hours and were acting up in the store, but Amy was so patient and engaging with our kids. One day we came up for ice cream and she scooped it for our entire family and never stopped smiling and was generous with her scoops too! (*Go to her if you want a healthy scoop of ice cream!) Every time we saw Amy throughout our stay, she greeted us with that same sincere and kind smile and just made us always feel good and feel welcomed at the campground.

A.J. was the other worker we wanted to recognize. We first met A.J. at the bath house when I took my daughter to shower the dirt off of her. Without hesitation, A.J. greeted us so very warm and kind. She was in the middle of cleaning the showers and here we come with a dirt covered kid to ruin her hard work - and yet she didnt care at all, she even insisted that we go into the big one she had just finished cleaning. When I told her I felt bad going into her freshly cleaned stall, she giggled and said it was no problem at all and that she wanted us to have a clean hot shower experience and that she would come back around and clean it again when we were done. Who does that these days?! The other amazing thing I wanted to recognize that she did was on our 2nd day there, my husband took the kids to the Walmart in town and I stayed behind to get ready and take our dogs out to potty. While I was walking one of our dogs I started to feel light headed and needed to sit down. A.J. was driving by on her cart and noticed this. She stopped and pulled into our site. She asked me if I was okay and sat next to me on our picnic table. I told her I needed to call my husband because I was not feeling well. I realized I had somehow locked myself out of our RV and couldn't get my phone or anything, so I started to panic. A.J. offered me her phone to call my husband and while I was calling him, she took my dog leash from my hand and finished walking my dog for me while I sat and tried to gather my composure.

I feel that most of us including myself usually only take time to speak about an experience when it was a bad one. But we really need to put that same effort into recognizing when someone or somewhere heightens an experience and makes it a better one. So between the clean, warm and inviting swimming pool, the vast grounds that are lush with green grass and beautiful ponds, the spacious and clean sites and the top notch customer service, we would give the Streetsboro KOA 25 stars if we could! Whatever you are doing with your employees, keep it up because they are wonderful representatives of your...

Let me start this review with two comments – first, this area experienced heavy rain the week we arrived and most of the campsites were very wet. Second – we have in the past and continue to camp in over 20 campgrounds each year. These factors influenced my review. This KOA had great reviews and many 5 star ratings, which is why I chose it. Also, this area of Ohio does not have lots of campground options. This was the highest rated when I was searching last December. We stayed 5 nights. It is an older KOA with a mix of seasonal/full-time/nightly sites. The site we were assigned was small and neighbors were close on both sides (campfire smoke within 10 feet of our bedroom window). I was very unhappy with the site we were given, as there were many other sites which would have been more enjoyable for us, given our 5 nights here. I question their “big-rig” friendly status. However, there are many large class A’s here. The campground is busy and mostly full every night. The roads are either well-worn old blacktop (cracked and crumbling in most places) or gravel. The sites do not have aprons, so given all the rain, most had deep ruts and mud at the end of each site. Both the security gate and cable TV were out when we arrived due to weather and customer damage to TV connection. We did not use the shower houses, but the restrooms were in good condition. During our stay we experienced a sewer smell at our site, on and off (it was strongest upon arrival and at departure). The Office was notified, and they claimed no other reports had been made and there was no issue with the system, however we continued to have sewer smell both inside and outside our camper. Interestingly, we did not experience this at all at the next campground. We also experienced on/off water pressure changes – one morning all I had were drips to shower under, while a short while later, my wife had decent water pressure. No escort to site was offered (which has been my experience with other KOA’s, but we asked for assistance backing into our site, due to a close tree on one side and mud/tire tracks through the wet grass on the other. Again, the entrance to the site was tight with no apron. A staff member helped us, but it was even difficult for him, and we made many more deep ruts in the grass/mud. Given the wetness of our site, we did not use the picnic table or fire fit, even though we had family joining us for dinner one night. The office suggested that we use a nearby pavilion, which we did and it was enjoyable. The KOA charges a $10 per person visitor fee. The location was close to stores, gas stations, and highways to easily get around to various Cleveland attractions. I think this is the reason for its popularity. Honestly, I would not return to this campground in the future. Maybe the state parks, located not too far away (even with less amenities) would be a better choice for our future trips to this area. Overall, I would give this KOA a 2.5...
